The Trip of 2018: Panchmarhi

So we started off this trip keeping in mind Saikat Samanta, our ultimate Trip Organiser cum Entertainer will make sure everything falls into place, nothing for anyone else to worry. First official trip as colleagues, the 10 of us were super excited to embark this journey to this land of beauty: Panchmarhi.

Day 1 : Pandav Caves was the first place we visited and that is when it started heavily we thought all our plans, excitement washed out. No umbrellas, or raincoats and we decided to continue completely drenched. Next we visited the highest point in the Satpura Range, Dhoopgarh around 4500 ft above the sea level where clouds encircled us within minutes and nature felt so close and pristine.

Next on our list were the famous waterfalls, our primary reason for the trip. First, we saw Apsara Falls, the most beautiful waterfall I have seen till date. Next after a lot of walking down the stairs, we reached Bee Falls, where we had a good one hour fun bath with water flowing down at such speed and force. The end of the day was thrilling and funnily scary as we did Deep Forest Camping, right in the middle of the wild jungle where footprints of bears and other animals existed. It was one terrific night, with tents, bonfire, silence and some magic moments.

Day 2: After the best Saturday of our lives, we started Day 2 with trekking and climbing 1365 stairs to reach Chaudagarh Temple. Something we did as a unit, encouraging and helping one another to complete this milestone which certainly ain’t easy, I must tell you. We also visited suicide point, did some horse riding, adventure sports which concluded our trip.

Finally, we took a train back to Nagpur which was nature’s way of telling us: Bus ab bahut hua, nikallo yahase beta!

Jokes apart, do visit Panchmarhi before Government Taxes make it difficult for you. Cheers!
