Off seasons are Great for solo travelers and backpackers. these are a good time to explore and even those unexplored parts of the destination itself.
Let's save money, not with the value you get while traveling.
What are off seasons in general?
The period when travelers like you are less, The tourism activities are considerably less, Because of "The odd weather conditions, some restrictions made by local bodies and the main is less no of travelers" as I said.
Usually, there are three seasons for travel, in India,
Peak season :
mostly from mid-June to august
Shoulder season :
roughly from June to October
Off seasons :
mostly from March to October
They may vary for different Locations (mostly countrywide).
Why you Should look for off seasons?
The reasons to do are good in numbers.
1. You can make out more than the usual crowd.
Just think of it, the tourists are less in numbers so you can have the best out of the place and If you are just more than a traveler, they will help you explore in depth of the place.
you can take a good vibe and overview of the culture and heritage of the surroundings. So able to get most what the place gives to you.
2. Your cost of booking hotels, transportation costs will drastically be reduced.
The reason for this is the reduced tourist activities, hence fewer travelers.
You will get a good number of options to stay and explore at a lesser cost.
Even you can reduce The cost of your bookings by bargain and It is easy to do in off seasons.
The service you have is much better on accommodations and restaurants.
3. You will find the real "Authenticity" of the destination.
Imagine, when the place in the crowd and more with the local people, so you can have real vibes of the destination and do make friends with locals, do spend some time with them, which will add better experience to your journey.
You may spend more time in each place, which is not possible in peak seasons.
You have more time to visit all the destinations with equal cost as of in peak season.
Like I have experienced that there is a much difference in both the peak and low seasons.
4. Spend less and get more.
You now know that you will save money by preferring off seasons. but how? Three things you should do,
Bargain, bargain, and bargain. by doing this I saved even sometimes one-fourth of my budget.
And it becomes necessary for all tourist businesses to accept it.
Tip: Don't go to book the accommodations in the night time, because they become a necessity for you at that time. so do book the stay in the morning where you can demand your price.
Bargaining at a good price is recommended.
Do Hitch-hike: Hitch-hiking is the best way to save your transport spends. so the locals are more in number during the off season, you may not find difficulty in doing so.
How to get more :
*By interacting with local peoples
*Do Visit to places which are not usually visited by tourists. like, the streets of the city, localities homes through your local friends if you made so, some less famous places.
*Spend more time with you.
How to find if my destination is preferred off season?
Mostly seasons vary from continents, so if for European countries it is from October to April and in southeast Asia from March to October.
Find on the internet (Of course), or simply ask people who had visited the same place before, If you want to get a season of the specific destination.
some limitations you may face in off season are,
You may not get the right time, because off seasons are when your Works are to be performed.
Some places maybe not well for the safety of tourists. because of some kind of less attention towards the tourists by the local securities. So cross-check that as one time. So with that said,
Thankyou for your time and patience. Happy time traveling, Adios.
