So, I planned a trip to Udaipur and was there for 2 days and 3 nights. I had already been to some tourist places viz. Rishikesh, Haridwar, Kasol, Kheerganga etc. But after this trip I am completely spellbound by the beauty of Udaipur. In that duration, we hired two bikes and apart from me, there were 4 others to give me company. One of them is currently studying In RNT medical college, Udaipur. So, we had an upper hand unlike other trips as he knew the city way better than us and may be even better than Google.
Why Udaipur? Wanted to go someplace not so monotonous cold..And needed to keep check on my wallet as well.Another thing I kept in my mind when I planned this trip was that I wanted to see and enjoy natural beauty and adventures.
So, I am gonna write about the places we went, the mesmerizing journey and the people.
We arrived Udaipur around 9'O clock, about an hour later than the scheduled time. We started our day with lunch at Shiv Shakti Restaurant & had a good lunch in every aspect. From there we started to explore Udaipur on our bikes. Our first stop was an Open Gym situated on the bank of Pichola Lake. This was a beautiful spot with some Gym apparatus installed. After that we drove our bikes to The Celebrations Mall. As I currently live in Noida, I can say I have seen the best of Malls but believe me the way this Mall is designed is brilliant. You can see the Rajwada's flavor added in the infrastructure. After spending some time in mall, we moved to Nathdwara Mandir. What's new about this is the road by which it is connected. A tunnel is built through the mountains and has its own contributions when it comes to visuals. The same tunnel is on the backside of classmate notebooks nowadays. Other noticeable places to visit are Saheli ki baadi, Sukhadiya Circle and Fateh sagar lake. Fateh sagar lake puts forward equal values and visuals to the visitors as much as the Marine drive in Mumbai does. Last spot for the day was Karnimata Mandir also known as sunset point among the locals. There are two monocable ropeways that connect ground to the top. You can have a beautiful view from the top as well can see the beauty of Pichola Lake. Tourists can also have fun of boating in Pichola Lake.
Conclusion-: Day-1 was more beautiful than expected, obviously not very adventurous but soothing in a peaceful way. Around 80 kms of biking in the whole day and dinner of Dal Baati at Annapurna Dhabha brought the day to a closure.
We woke up at 6:30 in the morning as we have to go to Badi lake. Leaving the rooms at 7:30 we took the road to Badi Lake, stopping by for a few minutes to have tea. We stayed for about one hour at the lake. It being a Sunday, many localites were there for breakfast, students for picnic and the scenery was way more beautiful than expected. We took some beautiful photographs and headed back to our rooms. On the way back, we stopped by a beautiful fountain. We had our breakfast and got ready by 11:00 to leave for Sajjangarh. Sajjangarh fort is at quite a height from ground level. Roads to fort are quite steep with sharp turns. On the way up to fort you might feel fear, a rush of adrenaline and blood through your veins. We spent around two and a half hours there and took some photographs. When you are at such heights, you find the view so beautiful that you want to capture the scenery in your memories forever. On the way down we stopped for few photographs of sceneries. From there, we straightaway moved to the Wax Museum. The museum was okay. We had lunch and then rode our bikes on the way to Ubeshwar Temple. What's really beautiful about Udaipur is either there are lakes at ground level or there are mountains at heights. Same was the case of Ubeshwar Temple. We stayed there till evening, enjoyed the view from heights. At the end of the day, we had our dinner at Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway.
Conclusion:- Day-2 was way more beautiful as well as adventurous. Around 150 kms of biking for the day was more than enough to sleep tight.
We woke up relatively late at 9:00 am as we drove last night till 3:00 out in the cold. WOOHOOOO. This was a totally different feeling. This was my first night out after my college life. We left our rooms by 10:00 am for Haldighati. It took us around 2 hours to reach there. The scene was equally beautiful as the journey was. We paid a visit to City museum also. Well as you all know almost all the museums are same, we were least interested in the museums. So, we had a quick view and then went for camel ride. We left from there around 2:00 pm as we had to catch our train by 6:00 pm. By 4:00 pm we were in our rooms, packed our bags by 4:30 pm and left the hotel by 5:00 pm.
Conclusion:- Day-3 was full of memories. Around 120 kms of biking in 5 hours & such beautiful visuals were a thrilling experience.
