Who doesn't love weekends! Especially after spending all your weekdays in 9 to 5 job. Everyone needs break and so do I. On previous weekend I was sitting in some cafe with few of my close friends, discussing about year just passed and a year about to come. In between gossips bell rang in my mind, and boom.. let's go on trip. That's it😅 We wanted to go to some peaceful place after spending whole week in busy running noisy city. Hence ended up with Mangi Tungi trek!
Booked train tickets immediately. And we were all set to leave.
Friday eve after completing office we head to station and caught our train. We reached Surat by 12.30. Foodie us, wanted to eat something😅. There's one cafe opposite of station named Bismillah shakes, and trust me that's worth visit. Try Coco shake and pavbhaji if you're ever going there. So that's how we began but it was time to end up our day😴 We spent night at one of my friend's place.
Nobody is morning person from us. But when it comes to food we never compromise😜. Early in the morning we went to dummas beach. Tbh there's nothing like beach at that place but that's the perfect place to spend morning with friends, playing cricket 🏏. Well I always suck at sports but I had fun anyways 🙃. Then there's one pakodiwala which serves 10 different types of pakodies or golgappa if you say, obviously we went there for food. Oh just forgot to add there's one haunted place on that way and that's one of the most haunted places of India ☠️. We head back to home and we were all set to leave.
After having too much of surati khana we started our journey. We were travelling by car with Kishore Kumar on speaker. The road from surat to nasik will definitely remind you of tripling if you have seen. Too must turn taking roads from height were thrilling, and the views were breath taking😍. We took one halt at haranbari dam just because we didn't want to miss sunset⛅. Picture can describe more than my words. 5 hours of driving and we reached amachi Maharashtra. Being in Gujarat one cannot deny herself from having alcohol especially after seeing bar🍻. After having some food and drinks we continued driving..
We drove down to nearest Jain guest house near mangi tungi. It was a decent place and one can easily spend a night here. Charges were nominal and food was okay. The only trouble was that they didn't have hot water in room bathroom so if you want that, you have to wake up early before 5 and wait in pretty long queue for that, but guess what I didn't take shower that day LoL!
We woke up early morning or you can say midnight because it was still pretty dark had our tea and left for trekking. Mangi tungi is pretty easy trek or it's more of a climbing so make sure you take enough energy drinks or bar with you. If you leave early you can witness a mesmerizing sunrise as seen below. On the way you'll see lots of tiny Jain temples and monks. Just be careful with monkeys because on of my friend was attacked by group of monkeys when she was climbing alone. We reached there when the sun was out fully and we came back before lunch time. Try to have jain food in same guesthouse, it was not that tasty but hunger will led you to that place.
