Trips are beautiful, What's more beautiful is the way the hosts welcome us, care for us. This makes trips memorable. So today, we will see the top 5 friendly destinations ever on my trips so far, so get on board!
Ahmedabad
The city might look hostile after India’s World Cup loss, but Gujaratis & Ahmedabadis are good at receiving their guests. Not to forget their delicious cuisine they prepare. A local can start a soulful conversation with you above their life here, if you are new to the city. What more, even Auto drivers act like a tourist guide & still will charge you on a meter basis.
Bhubaneswar
The sleepy city of Bhubaneswar was where I spent just a day & I got a chance to explore the hearts of the locals. I asked about Odiyas’ culture, and they said “thoda sa friendship zaruri hota hai”. The city have a calm voice, courteous enough to direct you to the hotel if you are taking taxi & Patient enough to wait while you are at the ATM
Colombo
The Srilankan capital, Colombo is full of humongously friendly people. Some of the tamils have made their home here. The locals here are caring & concerned about your life way back home. If you like meeting new people, Srilanka ticks the list. What's more, any officer you meet, they might not meet you with a welcome drink, but they will spare some family time & care for you.
Kolkata
“Poori Khaoge?” was the first step towards kindness when I was in Kolkata. Dishes like Misti doi, Rasagulla & Batata Vada taste deliciously sweet straight from the maker's heart. I remember being helped on a metro route by a passenger, which shows they can go an extra mile to help a person in need.
Mumbai
Doesn't the list look like the Cricket Venues? With the first being Vada pav,the people of Mumbai come second in winning the hearts of the visitors. Most of the Mumbaikars are outsiders so they have empathy and compassion to their fellow mates working far away from home.
The above list is ranked top 5 in terms of guest recognition, have you visited any places that were guest centric? Share with us. Ok bye :)
