Day 1

~10 May 2019~

We tool a overnight Journey from delhi via Bus and reached a place called  Barsheni which is around 14 km from the main city Kasol and takes about 45 min to reach via any public transport.

Our first stop was at "Tosh Village" which is 7km from Barsheni at the hill top. It takes around 30 min via any car or transport but we planned to walk and enjoy the time.

It took us around an hour but it was fun!
Do check out the pictures!

Once we reached we found ourself surrounded by snow. Capped mountains.
I just wanted to say at that movement - Why! Why so Beautiful!!

That Evening was all about views, coffee, and peace.

Our way to the Tosh Village!!☺️

Day 2

~11 May 2019~

We woke up a bit early in the morning because we had a trek to go to and had to reach by evening.

We got ready and started walking for our trek!
14 km trek to KHEERGANGA!

It started bit easy at first, I thought we would reach very easily but once we completed around 1-2 km we realised  the actual trek started now.

Twisty turns and narrow paths and above all when we had to cross or give space for the mules and cows to pass.
One of the best thing that happed  were the local dogs who were our constant companion, if you are traveling with them they they will surely make your trip bit more exciting.

After a lot of walking.....

We reached a village where we were informed by fellow trekkers that beyond that point there will be no network. So we made sure we contacted our parents and let them know the situation.

We had some hot steam momos it actually boosted and made our body warm we took out our jackets as it had stared getting cold and over all that it started raining. But we got some use and throw raincoats from a nearby shop.

The place we were was the last village and beyond there was no house or any rest camp.

After many amazing and crazy views we reached at a point which mind blowing and breath taking!!

A heavy waterfall coming from the top of mountains and we had to cross with a very old bridge!!

It was the point from where the trek started being difficult for us. As it started getting sloppy and as the altitude rised it become difficult for me to breath. But it was only cause of excessive walking but it was an experience I wished to take with me.

In total we had to cross around 10-12 waterfalls on our way. Some waterfalls were amazing to see some were dangerous to cross!

After a lot of walking we reached a station which was like a small toll-gate for a travellers and trekkers where we had to pay rs 40 per person to the toll In-charge as we were going to camp at kheerganga.
(issued by the govt)

After that it was around a 1-2 km walk and we reached the camp point by 5:30 pm.
(Overall it took us around 7-8 hours  to reach)

We booked a big tent for all of us and then finally came the reason we all travelled this far..

It was Hot Spring time...

Yes! At the top of the camp side there is a natural hot spring for trekkers to relax, Once you enter you will be so relaxed that you will forget all your crazy and exhausting trek.
But we had leave by 7pm as it closes after that. We had to rush to our tent as it was getting very cold outside. The temp at that point was 4℃ and we were completely wet.

We rushed to our rent got changed and we had asked to our tent owner to light a camp fire for us!
It was a beautiful time..In the mountains...Cool breeze near a camp fire with some crazy soothing music.

Our tent owner was a granny and she was so sweet that she told us her stories and how they have to travel from top to bottom once or twice in a day just to get basic things. And they try to hunt sometime in the nearby forest to eat and daily travel to the forest to get medicinal things which they sell in the lower area cities at the market during winter timing when the kheerganga is completely covered with snow at a height of 6-7ft at least.

After sometime we had to go inside as the temp was very much 3℃ outside. We went inside and  talked a bit a slept.

The temperature in the night was so low we actually had take sips of old monk to make our body warm and we all were sitting nearby so that there would be some warm in the tent.

Morning view!!👌

Day 3

~13 May 2019~

Next day we woke at 7 in the morning as I didn't wished to miss the sunrise. Unfortunately our cell phones were dead and we couldn't click any pictures.

We planned to start moving back early as we had to catch our bus for Delhi the very same day.

On our way down we reached at a point where there was a person who had converted a small streaming waterfall to a water floor dhaba, Were we could sit with our feet dipped in water.

We had some parathas and coffee at the point and they were d aam they were amazing.
Going down was not so tough we reached barsheni in about 4-5 hours and took a local bus and reached kasol by 4:30 in the evening!

As our bus was at 8pm in the night we planned to do some shopping and got momentos to take our self.

We had our dinner at CAFE TURQUOISE - A beautiful river view cafe who had some yummy pizzas to offer.
I would thank my friend Saubhagya for planing this weekend gateway and making me love with mountains.

"I would end my trip by saying I have always been a Beach Person born and brought all my life near the sea. But now I would say there is something about the mountains you can't say in words"
