' Manjilon ki pehechan uske safar se hoti hai , waise hi ek raahi ki pehechan uske junoon se hoti hai ' since childhood I have been a wanderer ‘Travelling is in my blood’ (ghumna mere khoon me hai ) Hahaha..😄. sounds like a filmy dialogue but yes that’s how I engrossed myself as a passionate traveller. This isn’t a story, infact it’s a tour through my eyes of 1500+ km and riding across 7 states with my companion ''Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bike".
When enthusiasm fills heart, it also brings fear with it & where fear and nervousness takes part there is no place for passion and so I geared up for my trip leaving my first destination behind ‘Fear’ now this journey isn’t that easy, and so, my bag full of excitement maybe my bike is unable to balance & it was dropping off now and every few km this bag was braking my speed in every 4-5 km I say, but I think roads are meant to have speed breakers so that we don’t meet any accident. I was running late from my schedule, You know the special thing about any trip is ‘Chai ki chuski’ and this chai break is necessary for me to boost my power for every 100-200 km (Chai is the secret of my energy) 🍵💪...Anyway, after continuously riding for 3 hrs I covered almost 200 km in a go. One thing I hate about summers is I don’t feel cold😑😒. But one thing I love about travelling is I don’t feel hot on even sunny days. And by the time I entered Maharashtra, this chubhti jalti garmi ka mausam was sucking all my energy and I had to take break in every 50-60 km to hydrate myself which makes the average very low. At 2 pm I had my lunch which was some packet biscuits never thought that ‘Parle –G will save my life and after having some ice cream and gallons of water I proceeded for my journey. After a continuous riding for 4hrs Madhya Pradesh welcomed me with the pink sky view facing a dhaba and so the aloo parathas were calling me to have some beautiful experience of sunset with food. I Spend around 1 hrs in the dhaba and continued my journey for the last 100 km stretch, it was so dark that I missed the signboard toward Sagar and rode almost 7 km ahead, as my mobile battery was drained I believe our energy is defined by our mobile battery percent😞😢. I almost got lost but luckily I saw a local bus was going toward sagar I followed the bus till bus stand and thought to charged up myself and my mobile #stayinnsagar
Day 2 begins with a good 7 hrs of sleep. At 6 am I checked out from Sagar, and checked on for my gram post (@chaiyatra) and with some good playlist I was enjoying the ride, although it was a straight boring highway still I love being this way. Around 10 am I was at Lalitpur had my usual breakfast aloo paratha with chai ki chuskiyan which turned my way towards the highway. A good sleep, tasty food, and beautiful sceneries (jamn safal hua mera).
Entering Uttarpradesh made me realise of my sunny summer travelling, it was 42 degree in a 2 lane highway with lots of trucks traffic after clocking some km , may be trees are planted near roads to give shelter to travellers like me. A power nap opened my eyes to witness the Taj Mahal, Agra. Lekin Dilli ab bhi dur hai (Delhi is still far).So after refuelling myself & my bike I entered YamunaExpress way with the golden view and I was in a mood like ‘Swagat nahi karoge hamara "😎. I was enjoying the highway and had only one break in between and reached Delhi around 10 at night. I stopped my bike at my sister’s place and stayed there with food and some good sleep.
The Last leg of the journey toward Haridwar was easy, and I started late around 9 am as it was only 5 hrs ride. At 2 pm I was at Haridwar but the place where I was staying (Gandikhata) was still ½ hrs ride. The road toward Gandikhata is more scenic than my whole trip, crossing forest road and greenery ( aur ab dar to jungle ke raja se lag rha tha) Finally after reaching my destination or I can say home for next 1 month I was here to volunteer a wildlife research project.
Heading towards any journey is never easy to cross path full of difficulties and hurdles but if that journey is not there then what’s the purpose of destination.
