Mumbai to Uttarakhand Ride, Day 1

After two long years my bike ride to Uttarakhand commenced from Mumbai. We are total 5 biker and one of them is a female rider. And she is the one who planned all this ride.

So the meet-up time was set to 6:30 am near Fountain Hotel. Like a habit I reached 5 mins early and was waiting for the rest of the gang.  And the gang arrived 45mins late, as all of them were facing some problems. So to kill the time I shot few time lapse.

The gang arrived and we started with our ride but not before capturing some memories.

The sun was beating hard so have to take few hydration breaks in between. And finally decided to take late halt for lunch at 3pm outside Bharuch. The lunch took too long to finish as we were making deliberate delays to avoid the sun.

Our destination was now just an hour away from our cruising speed and we managed to achieve this goal. But during the ride I observed black stain on bottom left side of my jeans. Later figuring out the engine head gasket had gone kaput and needed to fix it ASAP.

So after reaching Vadodara, I unloaded all the luggage and headed off in search of a mechanic. Luckily people here were very friendly and helped me to fix my steed. Satisfied I reached back to the base for today. Spent some quality time with my friends cooked food and now as I lay on the bed typing this experience. I wonder will we be able to pull off tomorrow's much longer ride?
