Mumbai-Amritsar-Pathankot-Dalhousie-Kullu Manali-Delhi-Mumbai

The trip was planned in September 2019 and executed in December 2019😂

Day 1-24th december 2019
A group of 6 members(school friends) heading to a very beautiful place in north india.We boarded the train from mumbai central "Golden temple express" with only 3 RAC seats confirmed.As we were lucky that we got 2 extra berths which made our journey more comfortable.

Day 2 25th Dec.
We spent our whole day in train as i was very excited to get down and enjoy the view of every station.At night we wore some extra clothes as it was extremely cold,we padded up very well but still i didnt have enough sleep as it was extremely cold at a peak level so you should get extra jackets and thermal to have a good sleep.

Day 3 26th Dec.
We got down at the right time @5.30am.As the hotels were not booked in amristar so a guy who met us on the railway station helped us to get the hotel but what my suggestion is when you get down search for a room nearby station which you can get at very cheap price so we got is at very moderate price 1200rs.we got the room and started to get ready for the golden temple so all geared up with a white kurta and left the hotel.
It was Thursday,In front of temple there we had our breakfast chole kulche which is famous to eat in punjab.Try it if you are a butter lover.
In temple,everyone started gazing at us(beacuse of our cultural white kurta outfit).After a long queue from darshan we had food at temple(Langar) and got out after 3-4 hours as our cabbed was booked for 2300rs for a city tour & directly headed to India-wagah border.we were late to reach but still had the opportunity to see the last half an hour scene.The goosebumbs that we got after seeing the march pass was unforgettable.After we headed to a krishna temple and we missed Jalianwalabaug place.
The plan was to get a direct bus from Amristar to dalhousie but unfortunately it was not so we had other plans and way to reach dalhousie.if you book a direct cab to dalhousie it will be expensive so try getting a bus from there.
We headed to railway station as our plan was to reach pathankot and ger a direct bus in a cheap price.
You will get trains from amristar to pathkot, we boarded the last train @8.25 passenger train.at 11.30,we reaches pathankot and 3 of us went to search for direct bus but at late night it is impossible to get so we had to wait for the bus in morning and if you have enough money you can book a direct cab.so because of no transportation so we had to stay there overnight.
You can rent a room for 500rs a night so we got 2 rooms for us.
Looking at the area,I personally liked pathankot.

Day 4 27th Dec.
Morning 9 had our breakfast and left for dalhousie.you can get bus easily for dalhousie at Maharana pratap bus station for 120rs per person.It will take around 4 hours to reach the place.
PS- if you want to enjoy and want a comfortable journey then never book a package by tours&travel.
Dalhousie,a very beautiful hill starion.we got the hotel for 1800rs 2 rooms for a night.Place like gandhi chowk(market),subhash chowk can be covered.Late night at hotel,Enjoyed a lot chilling in a such place with colded (-3 celsius) temperature.

Day 5 28th Dec.
We woke up at 10am having a late night party in room so our next destination was to visit khajjiar but it was closed on that day because of heavy snowfall.Before khajjiar on the way there's a snowpoint area so went without any vehicle which was 6 or 7kms far so advising you if you can go walking definitely should try this,By walking you will have wonderful mountain view which you will miss if you go by any vehicle.
It was so fun walking that no one got bored so took some awesome picture which i will upload in the blog.Returned back around 5.30pm, got our bags and headed for next destination which was "MANALI".Some things to note here that if your seat is not reserved in government buses then you have to go by private vehicles which can caused trouble so it happend with us also were all the buses were full.Later found that there are no buses to manali directly and time was 7.00pm.we went to a point were buses stop so also tried there to get buses but no luck.
Only option we got is by booking a direct cab to manali which costed us 8000rs among 6 of us.This thing hurted us most coz all our money getting wasted in travelling.We had our dinner and started for manali around 9.45pm.

Day 6 29th Dec.
Good morning from Manali at 8.00am in morning,It took us around 9 hours to reach.The good thing was our hotel was pre-booked but the check in was at 12.00pm so they allowed us to keep our luggage in the cloak room so without wasting any time we directly went to Mall road in morning,The temperarure was so pleasant (-1 degrees),Jubilant so our plan for the day was to take rest for 3-4 hours and wake up in evening and visit the hidimba temple which was 10 mins walking from our hotel.
The hotel costed us for 1700rs per day and was for 3 days booked including heater and one extra mattress.The room was not big enough for 6 but have to manage a lot.
Don't expect your geyser will work in that chilled climate so its up to you to take bath.Our clothing was like one thermal and 2 t-shirts on it with 2 jackets so with this clothing outfit you can imagine how cold it was!!!
At night we came back and had a good sleep because the next day full of adventures.

Day 7 30th Dec.
We met a guy in manali his name is Dk,we booked his cab for 3500rs for 2 days,The activity day in which we did paragliding and river rafting.
Paragliding- we did it in kullu for 2800rs which include gopro video and 1000rs for river rafting so try paragliding if you visit there.Kindly shoot every possible angles with gopro..hahahaha
Forgot to mention about the food,If you dont want to spend much
So go to nearby dhaba's were the food is tasty and also can save money.Please dont go to big restaurants because the food doesn't taste good.

Day 8 31st Dec.
The plan was to visit solang valley so we woke up a bit late around 9.00 as it was last day of the year so everyone were rushing to solang valley.It was very crowded and a bit traffic.
Our cab driver took a shop where we got all accessories for snow like jackets,Gloves,shoes etc
We booked a group package in which they will give you jackets and a activity like skiing at 600rs and other activities like zip line,yak ride, Atv rides for this we have to pay extra charge so it depends to you what you want to have.After heavy traffic finally reached our hotel @7.00pm..Exhausted!!!
The last night of 2019 so only 5 hrs for new year.it was good night for us after celebrating some time at mall road.

Day 9 01st Jan 20.
The check out was at 12'noon so went to bus station and enquired for delhi bus but all the buses were occupied so then tried private volvo bus which was @5.30pm evening on the same day.The charges were 1400rs per person again an overnight journey to delhi.

Day 10 02nd Jan
Good morning from delhi,Reached around 6.00 in morning as one of friend knew a little bit about places were we can get cheap hotels.Paharganj a place were most of the hotels are situated over there for cheap and good prices so decided to split again in groups and search for a hotel.Finally got a hotel for 2 days @2300rs.
The plan on that day was to go to Agra for Tajmahal sightseeing.
New delhi railway was at 10mins walking distance from hotel however one train got cancelled or it was on next day so hurried again to board the train from hazrat nizamuddin station which was half an hour far from New delhi station.
Boarded train @2.00 for agra,the ticket fare was 90rs and will take 3 hrs to reach there.
As always train got delayed,got an auto and headed to tajmahal unfortunately after sunset the gates will be closed so bad luck for us on that day but however you can get a view from backside of tajmahal opposite to yamauna river.we saw a beautiful gigantic,world class wonder piece made by shahajan which made our day.
After this we went for shopping to a nearby places and had our dinner then later in the colded agra,thought of returning back by bus but then decided by train.Train at around 11pm,reached delhi by 2 midnight and 10 mins walking to our hotel.

Day 11 03rd Jan
The day to explore to Delhi..Like everyone,started from nearby place to explore like Jama masjid,purani dilli,Red fort,India gate etc.Then took a metro to karol baug to see the huge hanuman statue which was near to some metro stop.Wandering at night on the streets of India gate with overcrowded,felt amazing and also had some roadside snacks to east which tasted good but not like Mumbai..

Day 12 04th Jan.
Last day in delhi,Morning around 11am we checked out and thought of keeping our luggages in cloak room of Hazrat nizamuddin rly stn as our train was from there at night 9.25pm.
PS- keep your luggage in cloak room if you go out and don't wanna carry it.

We asked people which are the nearby place from rly stn that we can cover as we had a long day.
Visited Nizamuddin dargag,Zoo,A museum park which is on the west of nizamuddin rly stn.
So after 11-12 longs days,finally heading back to our home(Mumbai).
Reached mumbai on 05th Jan around 5pm in the evening.

Things to know.
1) Plan everything from the beginning.
2) Enjoy to your fullest because these days will never come back with your whole squad.
3) If you have a day,visit kasol or tosh which are neaby to manali.

Trip cost - Per person around 20k,Trip was not organised by any travellers..solo planning and plotting.

Best time to visit- December and January

Essentials to carry - 10-12 pair of warm clothes
1 or 2 jackets/hoodies..1 pair of shoe,1 beanie cap.
7-8pair of socks,1 gloves which you can buy there in cheap compare to our places.
Medicines, we were lucky that we had our friend who is a pharmacist.
