Tired of lockdown and staying indoors? So were we. So we searched and found this offbeat place near Delhi. This lake will definitely give you mini Ladakh feels. The pristine lake surrounded by rugged grantite hills will definitely remind you of Ladakh.
Panikot lake is a pristine quarry lake located in Sirohi lake, Haryana. It is a natural lake made with water disposition from years in granite mines. It is one of the best places around Delhi to go off -roading. The place is serene and untouched. It was awesome uncovering this hidden lake.
Google maps shouldn't be trusted completely for this ride. It took us to some wrong roads and it's better you ask the best guides - locals. For correct directions 👇

Reaching Panikot Lake by public transport-
From Delhi board the metro and get off at Ballabhgarh metro station.
Take the bus to Sohna and get down at Sirohi village. From there you need to walk to the lake ( around 500 metres) .
The place is secluded and that makes it unsafe. The moment we got down, few locals came upto us and initiated a conversation. Though they were friendly and helpful at first but we could feel eerie vibes. It's especially unsafe for girls and small groups to go there.
Definitely go there but in big group.
Go early in the morning. You'll be able to get those insta worthy photos.
Enjoy!
