Metropolitan cities in India, are regarded for vital economical, cultural and political centres. These metro cities are a hub for regional and international communications. Metro cities are very popular for, shopping malls, smooth roads, advance hospitals, huge corporate units and many more amenities.

Metro cities are very popular for monuments, forts, beaches, lakes, waterfalls, holy places, yummy cuisines and lovely markets to shop. Travelling to metro cities in India is a different experience.

Starting with DELHI- Located in north India this city is bound by Uttar Pradesh on the east and Haryana on the west. Aravalli hills cover Delhi completely. Yamuna river flows all through Delhi. Delhi is a cosmopolitan and a metropolitan city. This city is a very popular metro city in India, being the capital city of India, it has a blend of old synthesis and new modernity.

Next MUMBAI -situated in th state of Maharastra being the capital city of Maharastra, previously known as Bombay, it is a very popular metro city of India. Situated on the mouth of Ulhas river, on the Konkan region this city is bound by Salsette islands. Tropical climate prevails all through Mumbai. This city is called Alpha World city. A very modern culturured metro city of India.

PLACES TO SEE- Gate way of india, Elephanta caves, Haji Ali Dargah, Essel world, Mount Mary church, Jehangir art gallery, Shivaji Park, Juhu beach, Marine drive, Mahakali caves, Worli fort, Mahalakshmi temple, Siddhivinayaka temple are famous places to see. Ten days are required to see mumbai. There are many travel packages, trips arranged all over the city. November to February is the best time to visit Mumbai.

Then KOLKATTA - Situated in the state of West Bengal, on the banks of Hooghly river, it was formerly called Calcutta. It is the 3rd most populous metro city in India. This city is situated on the lower Ganga delta. Tropical wet and dry climate prevails all through Kolkatta. A very modern, close neighbourhood culture prevails all through this city.

PLACES TO SEE - Victoria memorial, Howrah bridge, Indian museum, Eden gardens, nicco park, marble palace, Birla mandir, Tipu sultan mosque, Kalighat Kali temple and Dakshineswar Kali temple are some popular places to see. 10days we much required to see Kolkatta. Finally CHENNAI - situated on the coromandel coast, of Bay of Bengal, it is the 6th city in India. Chennai was called Madrasipattinam to Madras and now chennai. It is called the gateway of south India, where 3 major rivers flow the city-coovum, Adyar river and kortalaiyar. A very hot city, which is famous for tropical climate all through the year. A popular metro city with a mix of culture, religion and modernity.

Living in Kashipur gave me lot of travel to DELHI city, living in Pune and Mumbai gave me full sight of MUMBAI city, short visit to Kolkatta gave me great travel exploring KOLKATTA, being a chennailite gave me life in CHENNAI city. Metro cities have always been a great memory in my travel list. Don't miss travelling to these places.
