Kaza is an enchanting town full of Buddhist monasteries and colourful markets that make for a great spiritual experience. Nubra Valley lies further north from Kaza in Ladakh and offers breathtaking views of sand dunes stretching all around it! While the world was lost in Deepika Padukone's gorgeous eyes and Ranveer Singh's intense acting in the movie Bajirao Mastani, globetrotters instead were stuck to their screens to find out the shooting locations of this epic movie. One of the major shooting locations was Amber Fort, located in Jaipur. Built in the 16th century, this fort got newfound fame after the movie was released.

Movie: Jab We Met, 2007

Be it the fields of Punjab or Himachal’s Naggar castle, what made Jab We Met a cult classic was its picturesque locations. The movie’s most iconic scene was shot at the Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh. Aditya and Geet were seen taking a bus ride through Himachal when they cross the pass surrounded by snow-clad mountains and glaciers. It was here that we heard one of Bollywood’s most loved songs – Yeh Ishq Hai! The pass is located at an altitude of 3,978 m (13,051 ft) above sea level and is about 52 km from Manali, making it an ideal destination for a road trip.

Movie: Barfi!, 2012

We can't deny that Anurag Basu's movie Barfi! was instrumental in introducing this magical place to the big screen. Sandip Subba from Khairani-Cunding locality near Sukna, 15km from Siliguri, West Bengal had his village and house featured in the movie that became an iconic destination ever since. Offbeat travellers can now explore the Sukna forest range near the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary in Siliguri, and relive Ranbir and Priyanka's memorable scenes from Barfi!

Movie: Ashoka, 2001

The majestic beauty of Bhedaghat Marble Rocks in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh has been too captivating for even the film industry to ignore. The famous song ‘Raat Ka Nasha Abhi’ from the movie Asoka starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan was shot here amidst these 100 feet tall marble rocks. Scenes were also captured during a boat ride that shows the stunning view of these rock formations during day and night. The stunning town of Kasauli, steeped in colonial history, was the backdrop of the 2003 film Koi Mil Gaya. Remember watching the beautiful scenes from Bahubali: The Beginning? Well, if you'd like to visit the spot where it was shot, then Athirapilly Water Falls is the place for you. It stands majestically at an elevation of 1000 feet above sea level and is 25 meterstall with four cascades. Located on the Ernakulum district-Thrissur district border in Kerala, it has been attracting tourists from all over India since time immemorial. The falls originate from the upper parts of Western Ghats and flow towards the Arabian Sea through Vazhachal forest, forming a breathtaking view which you won't forget anytime soon!

Movie: Swades, 2004

If you're a true fan of SRK, then you must have seen the iconic boat ride scene that was shot at Dhom Dam. This gravity dam is situated near Wai in Maharashtra and sits by the beautiful Sahyadris and a clear blue sky. It's close to two popular hill stations – Panchgani & Mahabaleshwar – and has become known as a serene spot for tourists to visit. The area houses an array of rare animals and plants due to its unique environment, making it even more special!
