All the excitement started kicking as 17th July was nearing. Lots of planning and coordination went into making this trip successful (I would say it as successful coz we reached Bangalore in one piece, kidding). Shopping for all necessities n stuff was done on 16th n we were off to Delhi on 17th morning. Courtesy of spice jet, both our flights were delayed almost by 2 hours.
Nice place to relax. Tents by the side of lake, high winds breezing through n sky full of stars in the night is a view that one could expect here..
Highest motorable road in India!! The feeling of accomplishment that you get when you ride on your bullet to this place is unmatchable!!
First pass to be crossed while traveling from Manali to Leh. The scenic beauty of these valleys will leave you spellbound!
If you're short of money then the last place you'll see an ATM is keylong. After this, you're on your own. Next ATM can be found in Upshi, 80kms before Leh
Fuel up your bikes n spare tanks here, the only town to have a petrol pump on this route till you reach Upshi
Staying at this place could be hell (literally) for those whose body is not completely acclimatized. Suggest to take precautionary medications if staying here.
We stayed at a place near to Jispa. Its about a few kms before the town you'll notice tents laid by the side of rivers. nice place to stay but bit expensive!!
