Camping site 1: Juda ka Talab
Trek from Sankri Village to Juda ka Talab ( Frozen Lake). During this trek...you can see Har ki dun peak.. this trek is around 4 kms and it took 3 hrs with 2 stops of 5-10 mins.
Camping site 2 : Kedarkantha Base camp
Trek from Juda ka Talab to Base camp. This trek is around 4-5 kms and it was covered with snow so we used gaiters during it.
Trek from Base camp to Kedarkantha summit. we started trek around 2 AM and temp was around -10°© and it was around 2-3 kms and temperature at peak was -14°©. The sunrise was the most attractive thing and time lapse. We reached summit at 5 AM and after that the slides in the snow was amazing.
The initial plan was to stay at Juda ka Talab for camping as we all were enthusiastic and energetic so we completed the whole trek to Sankri in a day. It took us around 9 hrs to complete 20km trek to reach Sankri from Summit.
Travel from Sankri to Dehradun.
