Day 1
Kausani! When I told my friends I 'll be travelling to kausani.. Some of said its not Kausani its kasauli .. some said its kasol but I was so clear. No dude its Kausani! I visited kausani in mid February 2016 with my 5 more friends. One of them had already been to this place 7 times, this was his 8th, Other one was traveling second Time and mine was first but they both were equally excited as I was. We travelled in our own personal car. Its a total distance of 450 km from Gurgaon to kausani, approx 10 hrs journey. While traveling to kausani you can visit "Kainchi dham ashram: Only Temple in India visited by Steve jobs and Mark Zuckerberg". From there you can head to Almora that holds a picturesque view thats relaxing to eyes and then finally to kausani. We left for kausani on 18th feb (Thursday) night and reached kausani on 19th in afternoon. We stayed at Hotel Best View inn (Best and Economical place to stay in kausani that provides you delicious and finger licking food and all services at best And the best part is the view of Himalayan ranges from its balcony). We stayed there for two days thats 19th and 20th February and left on 21st morning to be back at Gurgaon. But in those two days I saw all the colours and beauty of nature at its best. Rain, Snow covered peaks, Lovely breeze, Rainbow, Sky full of clouds and then back to as clear as water, Greenery. It was like I was living all the colours of my life at a time. Kausani is the best place to have a break from fast running and monotonous life. One can also visit Baijnath (approx 2000 yrs old temple) after being to kausani. Temple has its own beauty and Aura. You can also visit tea gardens at kausani. Kausani is the picnic spot of Gandhi's family. Kausani is famous for the view it gives of Himalayan ranges (A complete view of 300 km). Nanda devi, Nandkot, Trishul, Panchachuli and so on, all peaks were clearly visible from the hotel's balcony. If you visit kausani dnt miss sunset and sunrise otherwise you 'll miss magical views of nature. Sunrise was so beautiful that if I say it in hindi it would be "Jab sooraj ki pehli kiran nikalti h to wo sabse pehle trishul (peak) par padti h aur usko dekh kr aisa lagta h jaise suryadevta khud sakshat trishul par laal tika lga rhe ho" and that moment was so beautiful and mesmerizing that I just lost all my senses fr seconds watching that. Kausani is a less visited place because of distance and more travelling time. But once u been there u 'll not regret it and would love to travel the place again and again. With my personal experience I can visit the place countless times now. I would say If you visit such offbeat and untouched beautiful destination you 'll surely become a travel freak because I have became one. Kausani added more spirit to my travelling passion! :)
