"Travel defines the sense to find serenity within the uneasiness of the undefined roads."
All of a sudden trips are unplanned though the roads never leave a stone unturned to amaze you at every step of the undefined journey.
Kasar is a place hidden underneath the valley of Gods, Uttarakhand in the kumouni region. First, this place got its recognition in the year 1890 when the great Philosopher Swami Vivekanand visited this place and meditated amid the beauty of this paradise.
From then to now this place is well-known for the Kasar Devi Temple after whom this village got its name i.e, Kasar Devi.
Also, this place is known for The crank ridge which is situated on the outskirts of the village where locals witnessed the hippie movement in the early 1960s and 1970s which became an alluring spot for the lovers of trekking, Adventure and travel.
Many well-known personalities visited this place like Bob Dylan, Elon Ginsberg, Gary Snider & etc. Where they mentioned spirituality & the science of the place.
As we all know,
Power of Spirituality can't be measured with the heights of Mountains - A view from Kasar Devi Temple, a point which is one of the places in the world that comes under the Van Allen Belt after Machu Pichu in Peru & Stone Hedge in England.
This place has many hidden beauties where we found fun, serenity and adventure altogether.
We stayed there in a trendy hostel on Instagram and within the town aka Hots Hostel. This place is very trendy among the bunch creatives & Artists. Also, Mr Anuket - the Host of this place has given us the warm welcome even though the staff was very kind, heartwarming and very cooperative throughout our stay for three days.
During lunch when we were strolling the roads of kasar we found a place " baba cake" named after one of the sannyasi. It's a German cafe and the history of this place is very intriguing. It started with a single thought of love & belonging: Ness.- Baba Cake (Indo + German).
On the way, to our hostel, we have found one cosy dining place called kafal which is named after a very famous fruit of the Uttarakhand i.e Kafal, there we sat almost for two to three hours where we took the pleasure of amazing herbal tea and every sip of the tea was inexplicable.
And, After coming here I have realised that -
Are our worries bigger than these Himalayas?
This is a place where we have been mesmerized by the beauty of the Himalayan ranges.
which includes Nandakot, Nandadevi & Trishul with the pearl of Snow.
All I can say is,
I was Short of words with a sense of nothing because there is a point where nothing makes sense at all; it's just you & the happiness that matters.
Kasar is a hidden paradise.
Till then Keep exploring and travel with put your heart on.
Finally, I found the home to my soul.
Home calling!
