Corbett, the first and oldest National Park and Tiger Reserve in India, is located in the valley of the Ramganga River near the foothill of Himalayas. It was established in the year 1936 by Jim Corbett. Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve today holds probably the second largest population of free living tigers in the world. The most famous of Jim Corbett’s residents are the Royal Bengal Tiger and the Asiatic Elephant, but with about 600 species of avifauna, Corbett is one of the richest bird regions of India.
While we {Indra (Golu) and Anuj (Fufa, will share later, why we call him fufa) are deciding for a weekend trip in the end of February.. suddenly our #Fufa got engaged ( yeah.. iski hr cheej sudden hoti h).. so now we have to celebrate his bachelorette as well...
After taking stuff for the route, and drop our respective vehicles to parking, we also board the traveller at the exit of our office..
So we decided to go to Jim Corbett along with our office buddies..
As we plan, almost 12 persons we include for the bachelorette.. on the day of the trip, 2 persons got their urgent work so we left with 10 people..
Indra, Anuj, Chandu bawa (Chandranshu), Deepak sir (our Manager), and I, along with 5 others planned for the bachelorette come trip..
Chandu bawa booked a Traveller from a dealer (which cost around 18K) which supposed to pick us up after our office after 11:30PM on 1st of March.. (as we work in a UK shift, so we decided according to that)
After the office hours completes, few of us board the traveller at the main exit of our office and Golu, Deepak Sir, #Fufa and I goes to take the snacks/stuffs for the route..
So as per our plan, we took NH-24 at around 1 or 2:00AM of 2nd of March.
In between the journey, all of us cracking jokes and enjoying the moments as all of us haven't been there in a common trip before.. As #Fufa's bachelorette is what we decide to celebrate, so our main target was also the same.. We pulled his leg at fullest..
In between the journey towards Jim Corbett, we stopped at Shiva dhaba for some tea and snacks.. After we had tea.. we captured some group pics and board the traveller again.
So as we travelled almost 100 km's from office, and also we haven't took any rest in between, we all were tired AF. so most of us slept for few hour... not more than 2hrs, i guess.
We entered UK (Uttrakhand) at around 5-5:30 in the morning of 2nd March 2k19. After filling the toll, most of us woke up..
At around 6:45 AM, we reached at Ramanagar.. #ourDestination..We had our morning tea at around 7 in the morning at the bus stand of Ramnagar,
Our resort is almost 10KMs from the bus stand, as our check in time was 11am, so we were not a rush..
It tooks arond 30-40 minutes to reach to our resort, i.e. Deer View Resort.
After deboarding the traveller, we unpacked our bags in the allocated rooms, we have booked 4 rooms for all of us.. Golu #Fufa and I shares the same room..
After fresh n up, we all had breakfast.. which includes aalu paratha & pickle and watermelon.
A light breakfast we had that morning..
After breakfast, we all were ready for the walk in the nearby forest..
#Fufa and Chandu bawa took their DSLR's
Its around 1:00 pm, we started to roam in the nearby forest to our resort.. & clicks some awesome snaps in between the walk.. We had great walk for almost around 2 hrs.. that's too inside a jungle/forest.. that's not a proper forest, entrance of the forest we can say..
We reached to the resort at almost around 2;30 or 3:00PM..
After reaching, we had lunch which includes Rice, chapati, Mix-veg, shahi-paneer..etc..
So we all were tired that time, hence we goes to our respectives rooms to took some rest.. but we were there only till monday early morning, so we all decide to go to the Girija Devi Temple.. which is almost 17 Kms from our resort.
Girija Devi Mandir (Temple) is very famous temple in uttarakhand. This is very holy place, temple called local language in Garjia Mandir. It is situated in Garjiya at a distance of 12 KM from RamNagar on Dhikala road.
This temple is built on a rock in the middle of river Kosi. It is believed that the rock on which the temple is located came down during a flood in river Kosi.
It is believed that Girija is another name of Goddess Parvati, called because of being the daughter of king of mountains, The Himalayas.
The Shakti residing in the Garjiya devi temple Uttarakhand is calm and peaceful avatar of Maa Parvati.
This is some key features of Girija Devi Temple..
It took almost 1 hr to reach to Girija Devi temple..
We park our traveller in the parking.. And had darshan of Girija devi..
As the temple is just near Kosi river.. hence the peace which we feel is awesome ad indescribable. We took some awesome snaps there and start heading towards our resort..
When we reach the resort, it is almost 7:30 or 8:00 PM..
After freshen up, again we all were ready to celebrate the bachelorette of #Fufa, the staff at the resort arranged bonfire.. we were ready to enjoy the moment..
Gossips were going on.. The best part was the Dance.. Everyone dances to enjoy the moment at fullest..
After dancing for around 1-2 hrs, we all were tired.. so we go to sleep.. (in between we also had light dinner)
Its around 8 or 8:30 in the morning when we wake up.. had tea and light breakfast which includes Poha, watermelon, puri- sabji.
Few members payed Pool in the playing area.. some sit on the rooftop with a cup full of tea or coffee` to enjoy the scenic beauty of Ramnagar.
As the safari was booked for 1:00 PM in the noon, so we have much time in the morning to enjoy the beauty..
At around 12, we all were ready for the Jungle Safari. We have to travel toward Dhela road, because we have booked our jungle safari for Jhirna Zone of Jim Corbett.
It took almost 30 minutes to reach at Amdanda gate, from where we have to board the jeep to start our safari..
we had tea while waiting for the jeeps, we also bought some snacks for the safari. As soon as jeeps same, we board the jeep and starts our journey towards the Jhirna zone, Dhela gate.
We reach to the main entrance/gate of Jhirna zone,i.e. Dhela gate.. the inspector checked our permit as a routine.. After the permit check, The Jungle begins.
In the starting of the safari, we have seen deers, monkeys, langurs (baboons), peacock, hen..
In the safari we have to be very careful as u don't know from where any animal come.. and as we are in their region, so they can harm us easily.
In between the jungle safari, we have seen the rest/guest house inside the forest for Jhirna zone.. As Deepak sir had spent a night in that rest/guest house in past, he shared some of the memories from that night.. The electric source at the guest house is the solar power only, so it is very difficult and adventurous to spent a night at that guest house.
Chandu Bawa clicked some amazing snaps there..
The peace their is awesome, that can't be described in words..
Sometimes we have listened the voice of deer, birds and any other animals, the guide told us that they are making sound as there is a tiger nearby, we waited for around 10-15 minutes at the same location, but nothing comes up..
Almost after spending 4 hours in the safari, its time to go back to the entry gate as our permit was only till 6. so we headed towards the main entrance of the jungle, to exit on time.
While going back, as the time was around 5:30 PM, evening time, its the time for the animals to come in the plain ground (as most of the animals spent night in plain area to avoid danger of being killed by other animal), hence we have seen many animals and that's the time when we feel the jungle at its best.. We have seen group of elephant, fox, 4-5 different kind of deers and many other animals.. BUT we haven't seen tiger.. yeah..!! but we are not disappointed as its the first jungle safari for most of us.. and that's too awesome..
We have exited the Jhirna zone on time, and after the awesome safari, we headed towards the place where we boarded the jeep.
After reaching there, we board our traveller which was parked at the parking and starts moving towards the resort.
It took around 1 hr to reach to the resort due to the traffic in the main market.
By 7:30 pm, we reached out the resort.
As the main motive of all of us was to celebrate the bachelorette of #Fufa so after changing, we all meet up at 8:00 Pm at the party lawn, and had evening snacks and all.. done gossips and enjoyed our last night at the resort.
All of us also share a speech for #Fufa..
We had dinner at around 10:30 PM, so after the dinner, we headed towards to respective rooms. We sleep at around 12 AM and as per the plan we have to start the journey towards Noida at around 5: 00 am, next day, i.e. Monday , 4th March 2k19.
At 4:45am, our driver knocked our door.. We woke up.. took our bags and set in the traveller..
After around 3 hrs journey, we stopped for tea break at Dhaba Jungle Safari..
After having tea/coffee we decided to have breakfast at the famous dhaba of the route, i.e Shiva Dhaba.
Around 1 Hr later, we stopped at the Shiva dhaba for the breakfast..
As it is Maha Shivratri, so few of us are on fast (even i), so they ordered lassi or tea..and other ordered their breakfast.
After having breakfast at the dhaba, we are at the end of the trip..
At approx 12, we entered in Ghaziabad, my home is near the NH-24, so i stepped out of the traveller and booked the auto towards the home..
After watching the real jungle.. to stay in the rest house inside the forest is now in my wish list.. let see when this happens..
