It is home of approx 300 Tigers. In all over the world Jim Corbett contains maximum density of tiger per sq. kilometer. It is not just a park, but a big and renowned tiger reserve as well which covers an area of 1318 sq. km in which 520 sq. km is the main area and remaining part is buffer area. The park is named after Col. Jim Corbett since 1956.
HOW TO GO?
You can go by train and your personal transport. Nearest railway station is Kathgogam which is 23 km from Nainital. And Ramnagar is also nearest to Jim Corbett but it's hard to find a direct train. It will be good for you to go to Kathgodam. You can also rent bike from nainital for 1 day which will be easily availaible. It was rainy day so we prefer to go by car. Half of the distance you will travel on mountains and half of the distance between Nainital and Jim Corbett on ground level.
ABOUT FLORA AND FAUNA?
It is one of the biggest national park/tiger reserve in India, contains 600+ varities of grass, sherbs, trees. It is also home of wide range of cat family(TIGERS AND LEOPARDS). As per finding of survey conducted by a team of wildlife specialists, Fauna Species found in Jim Corbett National Park includes about 50 mammal species, 580 bird species, 33 species of reptiles, 110 tree species, seven species of fish, 36 species of dragonflies many other exotic species of wild animals.
BEST TIME TO VISIT?
You can visit anytime with some conditions. It is closed in rainy season. and it is open in winter and summer. Safaries runs in 2 shift in a day. Morning Shift:- 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM Evening Shift:- 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. But I would suggest if you want to see the adverse beauty and variety of animals, go in early morning in summers. There is higher possibility that you would able to see the Tiger or Leopard. Winter is not preferable to visit, because I visited in January and in result not able to see any animal except barking deer, forest boar, and few species of birds. Invest atleast 2 days to Jim Corbett to explore it. It is big attraction for Wildlife Photographers and Nature explorer. At all best time to visit is between March to June. Climate will moderate in summers as well so you can go without caring the temperature.
JIM CORBETT FALL
It is situated mid way of Nainital and Ramnagar. Beauty of fall is adorable. It is not a big fall that contains a huge gallon of waters but between the mid of jungle the serene beauty of nature is worth to watch. In rainy season it is closed and water level increased at tremendous level.

MY EXPERIENCE IN JIM CORBETT
According to me nature is best healer of everything. Something extraordinary exist there. The cold breeze, big trees on both of the sides and silence. I never feel this type of silence ever. And the same time you feel exited about what you will see in the next moment. A level of fear also exist as you hear the stories of man eaters. A movie around in 1970's is produced named "HUNTERS OF KUMAO". I was ready all the time to see that beauty, but not able to see because I choose wrong time to visit. Always plan your visit, be time bound and plan where you will spend more time as Jim Corbett is divided into various region. I would suggest to go in summers and try to go in early morning and try to explore more dense region. One of the busiest place where you can easily find tigers most of the times is on the bank Ramganga. An ancient temple of Seeta mata is also present, must visit place in Jim Corbett national park.
WHAT NOT TO DO INSIDE?
1. Avoid calling from inside the jungle, if possible put your phone switch off. Because radiations affect animals directly.
2. Do not smoke or consume alcohol inside. A huge penalty will be fined if you caught doing such act.
3. Do not speak in loud voice and do not play music inside. I personally feel you deserve to enjoy the music of nature so focus on that. You will not get that precious time later.
4. Do not throw plastics. Avoid pollution(Land and Noise) both.
5. Most important do not, I say do not go out of your zeep in mid way of jungle.
Any suggestion is highly preferable. If you like it do follow and share for more. More to come within few days.
