After having our breakfast we reached sports complex from where a steamer will take you to Ross & Northbay islands. Island was once captured by Japanese army & they converted the site into camp, and built bunkers, remnants of which can still be found. There are no accomodation and proper food available here. It takes around 2 hrs to explore the places open for public. You will find deers and stags here as this is a forest reserve area completely controlled by navy. There is no proper beach here but carts are available to see all the places of Ross island.

Our ferry then took us to North bay Island. This beach is quite crowdy with lots of underwater activities like snorkelling , scuba & sea walk. You can also go for glass bottom boats for coral views. Underwater brain corals are the main attractions here. All sort of facilities like food, lockers , clothes for rent are available here. It is this island which is seen in 20rs indian note. We saw corals by glass bottom boats and left the activities for Havelock. Then left the place around 4pm in evening and ferry dropped us back to sports complex. It was a nice outing to start in Andaman . We relaxed for some time in hotel and then left for our late evening show of cellular Jail.

Our show timing was 8pm and we reached on time. This sound show in cellular Jail is a must watch for any visitor to understand the atrocities given to the prisoners of freedom struggle. How difficult life was even for political prisoners. Show also tells you about history of Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Day 2

Today morning 6:30 we boarded our cruise (#green ocean , open deck on first floor, only cruise to have this facility) in royal class for Havelock islands. Cruise is quite good from inside & has marginal difference between all classes. There are many cruise options available like Makruzz, Sea link , ITT majestic and government ferries. No worries for pre-booking, you will get tickets even a day before.

It was a journey of 2hrs and gave us everything like sun shining like hell , rains in mid way and then a cool breeze. We saw rainbow , played games , had food and loud music. Some people were also interested in documentry on Andaman island played on TV.

Isse achha view kya hoga

After de boarding at Havelock jetty we checked in our hotel # Dolphin resort vijay nagar beach. This is a govt controlled beach side resort but trust me no other resort in Havelock has a property like this, best location and good size rooms. My room had a fantastic sea view & greenery. After relaxing for some time we went to nemo beach for most awaited moment of trip i.e #SCOOBA DIVING BY PADI. They give you Training and then will take you underwater. I was feeling excited , anxious, restless and jumpy at the same time. Slowly they took us to middle of ocean and I started experiencing the calmness before the storm. As we moved underwater that calmness is getting bigger and trust me there wasn't any storm at all but a feeling of satisfaction, adrenaline was rushing from every part of body. I saw so many fish species like clownfish & small tuna , corals, reefs , maze etc. We were underwater for around 25 -30 min & every sec spent there is unforgettable. We took deep breath after coming out on surface, Dialogues of #ZNMD " Dilo me apni betabiyaan leke chal rahe ho to zinda ho tum" was constantly running in mind. It was a once in lifetime experience. These guys from # Dive India will also get you photographs and videos. Scuba teaches you one thing ----KEEP BREATHING!

After our scuba we went to Asia's best beach, Beautiful & large beach with white soft sand, good atmosphere, small waves & considered most suitable for swimming. We hired a bike for our journey to radhanagar beach and reached in half n hour. After reaching there seeing the splendid scenery , I was full of ecstacy. The beach is really large & sun ray shining from behind the clouds kissing my body & crossing me making body feel warmth & at the same time cool autumn gust from ocean satiated my soul like a honey bee finding a fresh flower. We stayed there till sunset and took many photographs. As Andaman don't have nightlife like goa so you can not stay late night at beaches but you can in your resorts. So after coming back from Radhanagar beach we partied at our resort beach till night. It was one of the finest day of our life.

Day 3

This day started with a plan to visit kalapathar beach to watch sunrise. We woke up really early this day and directly went to the beech which was around 5 km away from resort. It was 4: 30 am in morning, usually day starts really early in Andaman.

It was a cool breeze again on bike, sounds of bird chirping in morning always gives a positive impact and a thought of watching sunrise was too delightful. The place effect was that i could live my lifetime in this moment with the person i love sitting behind me. We were singing many bollywood songs while driving.

Sitting together hand in hand & her head leaning slightly on my shoulder and chest, we both were waiting for the crack of dawn. After some minutes there appears a tiny red ball on the horizon and it gradually increases in size making everything look orangish and rays coming warming our body. Sunrise intrigues me more, it's calming and quite & gives the rise of hope in living beings. Here are some pictures of this kalapathar beach. The water is precisely greenish blue. We stayed there for long hours.

Unfortunately we had only one day booking for dolphin so has to change to # Symphony palm beach resort and this become blessing in disguise. Our booking was for a lagoon suite which has a sea view and beach side location. I was quite impressed by the resort property. It's probably best in Havelock. So after having breakfast, some rest and changing we went for elephant beach in havelock. We opted for jungle route which is not everyone's cup of tea. It is actually excellent time and money saving way of reaching there. This journey requires a guide with rs 500 as fees and around 3km long. It will take 30-40 min to complete this route. It ends on a mangrove forest just before the beach. On this jungle route one can find many species of trees, plants and birds. So after reaching to elephant beach we enjoyed there for couple of hours and then left for the radhanagar beach again.

Day 4

Today morning we had a cruise for Neil island but before leaving we spent the morning around resort property just to capture the beauty of it & then left. This time we took Makruzz which is the most famous cruise operator in Andaman and is quite good as well.

The cruise was superfast and swinging , many people went uncomfortable. After reaching Neil island I reached to my hotel #Pearl park beach resort. This was again an awesome resort with quite a nice pool in front of my royal suite and had a sea view from room. We directly went to bharatpur beach for water activities and enjoyed there. This beach is completely dedicated to water activities. We did banana ride and jet ski in very nominal cost and then stayed there for some time , colour of water is absolutely greenish. The quite nature of Neil island is reflected in the beach as well. After having brunch & some conversations with the foreigners about Indian way of travelling and photography, we left for natural bridge and lakshampur beach.

In the later evening we went to Lakshmanpur beach to see natural bridge, natural aquarium and sunset. It started raining on the way & I am a being a rain lover felt like icing on the cake. The natural bridge is a nice site to watch. It will take around half an hour to see this. Then we came back to lakshampur beach sunset point just behind our resort. Sunset was about to happen & I captured 3 sun's ????????. There were many honeymoon couples , we had small talks with them. We stayed there , had maggi , tea and pakoras. We had a discussion with the shop lady about the challenges in dailylife of local people. She told us how difficult it is for them to get medical treatment and to go to other part of India as only way is Airways , because sea way takes lot of time for them. She seems happy with current govt as many hospital facilities has increased in past recent times plus they get 50 percent subsidy in most of the govt duties, taxes and fares. As darkness increased we went back to our resort and took some rest and dinner. Then around 9:30 we both went to pool and did swimming for over an hour. It was pleasing and relaxing for our body, we enjoyed the lovely clear sky with so many starts blinking at you. That's how the day ended.

Day 5

It was karwa chauth, after trying hard to persuade priya not do it I gave Up. It was her fast and we were suppose to go back to port Blair. We packed up, did some photography before leaving and boarded our cruise green ocean again. She remained calm as she is really hungry as you can see that. After reaching Port Blair we decided to see Cellular Jail, as last time we only saw the light and sound show. So after having sufficient rest, at around 1 pm we went to cellular Jail, a national monument and were able to see all parts of it in around 1.5 hrs. It has 6 sections out of which 3 are closed now. We saw Veer Savarkar Cell , galleries and museums which were full of stories of Kala Pani jail. At the top of the jail is the picture perfect location.

After seeing this beautiful monument we decided to go corbyns cove beach for parasailing and to enjoy leisure time there. The route itself is really beautiful, proper roads and curves with newly painted old English grills. On corbyns we went for parasailing, it was her lifetime experience, the sea is visible upto so many kms. The color of parachute was kind of ???? . They also provide photos and videos

KARWACHAUTH!!!

We celebrate the karwachauth in night on hotels roof top by the help of staff and our pre-planning for the fast. Usually moon comes around 6:30pm in port blair but it was a cloudy day and hence we waited really long. Then came the ???? moon and priya completed her fast. That's how the day ended.

Day 6

It was our last day in port Blair and had a plan of going to baratang island but we changed our plan & decided to stay in port blair. I would suggest everyone to go baratang island to see tha Jarwa tribe and limestone caves. But we had our reasons not to do so, we decided to go to chidiyatapu, port Blair museums and to have leisure time at Marina park & sports complex jetty.

We went to chidiyatapu to enjoy some time there. It is an ok ok place, not much to do. You can go there for hiking and trekking. Some mesmerizing views can be found there. While coming back we stayed at corbyns beach fo our last night at beach. Stayed there till light becomes night. After having dinner we spent some quality time at Marina park and sports complex jetty.

Day 7

We left the Port Blair in morning and reached Chennai at around 11:30 am and then took our flight to nagpur later in night. We also visited some places like marina beach, kapaleshwar temple, city centre, & Church, in chennai in the day time.

Lastly some usefull Information!!

1) Total trip can cost you between 80 to 1.25 lakh for two person depending upon how much activities you do & what luxury you choose.

2) Do scuba from Dive India only.

3) Best location wise budget hotel to stay in

#Portblair--- Peerless resort and hornbill nest

#Havelock-- Symphony palm beach and Dolphin resort , barefoot (premium) , silver sand

#Niel Island- Pearl park

4) Do water activities on bharatpur beach or corbyns beach but before 3Pm.

5) It's better to have pre bookings because internet is a huge problem in Andaman but you will find everything even if you don't do , at very high rates.

6) cabs, bike , autos are easily available.

7) Nobody will cheat you in Andaman Islands. People here are really honest.

8) Take caps, shades & lots of sunscreen.

9) I made my bookings from # Agoda.com & # MakeMyTrip. #Tripoto was a great help

10) Always remember Andaman is not Goa!! Plan accordingly with every small detail.
