Ravi popular river of North India makes boundary between India and Pakistan. It's water remains cold even in summer.
It originates in Himachal Pradesh in kangra district. Then it goes along bara bansu and chamba district before entering Punjab. It enters Punjab through Madhupur in Pathankot.
Green blue water of Ravi looks very beautiful.

Ravi flows in Himachal Pradesh,Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab.

1. Mini Goa, Basauli:

There is a place which is near to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh , first tourist place of J&K.That place is easily accessible because of 'Atal setu' on Ravi river which connects three states Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
Basauli town is surrounded by Shivalik hills.
It is a one of tehsil of Kathua district of Jammu & Kashmir.
It is at  confluence of three states Punjab , J& K and Himachal. Basauli is considered as gate way to Jammu & Kashmir also it is first tourist spot of union territory J& K.
Elevation of Basauli is 1876 ft. Basauli is situated on the bank of river Ravi.
North Indians have keen interest in visiting Goa and do adventure sports.  For that people Basauli is best place to do adventure activities in water.

2. Ranjit Sagar Lake :
There is a  large lake which is constructed because of backwaters of Ravi river  All around you see only clean blue water.
This lake named Ranjit Sagar Lake that is very vast around 88 kilometres stretch.
When you do boating you will be able to see Atal setu above you that experience was totally amazing.
This place is also popular as 'Mini Goa' because of location , water sports.
Boating schemes at Ranjit Sagar Lake are :
1. Motor boat Rs 350 per person time is 30 minutes.
2. High speed Couple boat price Rs. 1350 motor boat timing is 8minutes.
3. High speed shared boat price is Rs. 450 per person time is 30 minutes.
4. Jetski price starts from Rs. 1000.
5. Cruise boat.

3.Atal setu :
Remarkable hanging bridge built by modern techinque i .e . Cable stayed bridge. This bridge completed in 2014. Because of this bridge Jammu & Kashmir is well connected with other India. Many places like Bani , sarrhal, Bhadarwah, Basauli become easy accessible because of this bridge. While crossing this Atal Setu you feel different good experience.
This bridge comes when we go from Dunera to Basauli. This bridge is just before state border of  J & K and Punjab.

4.Purthu :
It is beautiful picnic spot on Bank of lake Ranjit Sagar. It is in Basauli. It is on the end of road of Basauli from this road one road leads to Basauli Boating point.
You see the waves in Ranjit Sagar Lake that view is mesmerizing.

5. Madhopur:
Madhopur is a place where Ravi river enters Punjab from Himachal Pradesh. This is a beautiful place. Also there are two big canals that originates from Ravi river. There is a floating resorts on one of canal that is very famous.

6. Padav caves : There are mukteshwar padav caves near madhopur having 365 stairs which downwards lead to caves and Ravi Bank. These are ancient caves of Mahabharat Era.

7. Chamba :
Beautiful valley one of famous district of Himachal which is situated on Ravi River. City of temples chamba is ancient town of Himachal Pradesh. Ancient name is Champa because of Princess Champavati, this name leads to chamba. Chamba is new capital after Bharmaur.

8. Ranjit Sagar Dam:
There is a Dam in Punjab on river Ravi known as Ranjit Sagar Dam or theen Dam. This is a tourist place as well as electricity source for Punjab. This is near Pathankot in Punjab.

9. Chaugan :
This place is in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Chaugan means plains. This place is near chamba polo ground.

10. Chamera lake:
When going to Khajjiar from Dalhousie via chamba, chamera lake is situated. It gives beautiful view of Ravi river. It is created by Chamera Dam.
