So When life hits you hard and a series of bad luck happens and life gets you the worst to show you the best. Back in Delhi struggling with life and everything leading to failures, cluelessness, despair. After 4 months of preparation for GMAT I finally gave the exam and failed miserable. Looking at my scores nothing came to my mind and all I was thinking about was a quick escape. So thats when I decided to leave for a solo trip. I went to my home packed my bag pack. I packed 3 shirts and few other necessities and l booked my bus to Mcleodganj because that's the first place that came to my mind. The bus ticket costed me 1300bucks. I catch the bus from Majnu ka tilla. The bus was really cool. It was of a company named ZipGo. I hoped on and the next morning I arrived Mcleod somewhere around 8am. It was an overnight bus and a really comfortable journey.
The morning I opened my eyes and the view I got from the window was mesmerising. I was awestruck looking at the scenery. It was a comfort to my eyes seeing all the mountains. It was so beautiful I thought this is so the right place for me.
I used to believe love at first sight do not exist. I was clearly wrong. My senses awake and I got super energised by the feel of the city. I believe every city has its own feel. This was surely my kind of place. I was so excited to think that the next few days I am gonna spend here. I booked the International Youth Hostel (IYH) on the bus. It costed me 500bucks for a night. I went to the hostel. It was fine. I didn't like it at first. To be honest initially I had a very bad impression about the hostel since I didn't find the crowd to be very friendly. But the city kept me energetic. The rooms were not ready so I thought to have a round of the city. I asked the locals about where to go and they suggested Bhagsu nath temple and Bhagsu waterfall. So then I decided to visit these places unless my room is ready. I visited these places. I found the waterfall to be good. It was silent and few people were there. I sat and enjoyed the fresh breeze. There's a Shiva Cafe as well at Bhagsu waterfall. It was way too much overhyped. Anyway I came back to my hostel. I saw a group of people leaving for Triund Trek. I enquired and got to know that the trip was organised by our hostel. They were charging 1500 bucks for it. I though of joining them but the crowd was way too bad. There was hardly any enthusiasm among the people there. I dropped the idea and thought to take some rest and leave for the trek the next morning. I went back to my room. The same day I just explored the city and the market. In the evening I left for Dalai Lama temple. I didn't plan to go to the temple. My focus was a cafe nearby the temple. Cafe Illiterati. I saw the cafe on some social blogs and decided to go. The cafe got me spellbound. It was a small cafe with balconies hanging and opening up to an amazing view. I went for lunch there and ended up spending my entire evening during which I met some people made friends and shared my experience
Next morning I decided to go for Triund trek along with the travel group from my hostel. Again I found the people to be so dull and I said to myself I am gonna be so bored. I went to the group leader he told me to pay the amount. I didnt have any cash so he told me to go downhill and get some cash withdrawn. So i went downhill got some cash and came back. While comming I got to know the group Inwaa about to go with already left. And now I am left with another group of 11 people so I was put with them. God plans everything. It was written in my destiny to come across such an amazing people. I met a college group of 5 people. They were childhood buddies. I decided to join them since we were having the same energy level. They were so friendly and made triund trek for me to be the best part of the entire journey. I found a bond with them which I didn't even have with my college buddies. We started our trek. Since it was my first trek so I was getting very tiered every half an hour. I took a lot of breaks. We somehow kept on walking. The fatigue and dehydration did come on our way but the view made us walking. We reached halfway. There was a half point cafe. It was an old cafe. A level of achievement ran and motivated us and we completed the trek. It was altogether 4hrs trek which took us 5hrs to complete including breaks and lunch. We reached the top. The view was superb. You can see the snow covered mountains. Clouds touching the peak. The evening was literally the best evening of my life so far. We went to our tents and had the plan to stay for the night. At night we played Uno, enjoyed bornfire. Rhitvik from our group played guitar. He is awesome at almost everything. That person is a motivation. I don't think there's anything Rhitvik is not good at. The night was amazing. Next morning we saw the sunrise and had the breakfast and left for our way back to Mcleod. While comming back from Galu temple there was a steep slope from the forest area. We somehow forgot our way and landed up in Dharamkot. Dharamkot is a beautiful small area in Mcleodganj. Walking through small villages and little cafes on our way we walked and kept on waking for hours. Then finally we reached Bhagsu and sat in a Israelli cafe. I forgot the name. It was something to do with Avocados. We had our lunch and then we part our ways. I was sad to leave these people. But I promised to stay in touch. We part out ways and I came back to my hostel by around 6pm.
