GORGEOUS Gujarat

IN patan, we visited this beautiful stepwell called Rani ki vaav. Its been declared a eorld heritage monument. The carvings on the walls and pillars of the stepwell is very detailed snd intricate. Story has it that this stepwell was buried deep under and was discovered as a part of archaeology excavation. There is no water tgere though currently, but the place is worth the visit just to watch the intricate details on the walls and pillars. There is a huge lawn outside which is well maintained. A must visit location if you are around ahmedabad as it is some 2 hours drive from ahmedabad city.

This sun temple is one of the only 2 sun temple in india, next only to Konark sun temple. There are 2 main halls to the temple. Each entrance and pillars and walls have intricately carved figurines of gods and goddesses. There is a beautiful stepwell in the vicinity which is equally picturesque. Modhera is approx 2 hours drive from ahmedabad. One must visit this place to know the real art and beauty that can be carved on stone
