Water is supposed to be colourless…….elsewhere in the world maybe !! …..in Fiji the water is in various shades of blue !!
I am on a half day cruise today with South Sea Cruises. It’s a sightseeing cruise, staying onboard the catamaran and enjoying a 3h round-trip on the blue waters.
At the Denarau Marina, I get a tag on my hand to identify the type of cruise I opted for and am directed to my boat. It’s a full house on the boat and we set off !! The middle deck has an air-conditioned cabin, but I stayed put on the top deck.
First stop is at the South Sea Island. People who have planned stay here disembark and there is plenty of room on the boat now. The people are taken on a smaller boat to the island.
Next stop, the Beachcomber Island and there are people getting off and few people getting on, to head back to Denarau.
Then its Mana Island and this place has a bridge into the sea.
Next stop is the Castaway Island.
Then we passed the Malolo and Liku Liku Island resorts. There is not much to say, the nature all around is doing all the talking. The island resorts look fantastic and happy are the people getting off to the many adventures ahead. The staff welcoming the guests shout out Bula Bula…. amazing service !!
And finally back to Denarau. The catamaran was comfortable, crowded initially, but once the first set got off, there was plenty of room. The water is so stunning, blue all around you!! If you are confused on an island resort to pick, this is a chance to look around and then perhaps choose one to spent a day or more !!
Happy travelling,
Anju
