Trip Itinerary:-

Day 01 (17-10-2015): Arrive Pelling

Pickup from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport to Pelling by vehicle. Check-in at the village homestay and relax in your room. Prepare yourself to explore the area next day.

Day 02 (18-10-2015): Village Walk & Mystical Experience

After Breakfast, proceed on a half day village walk with a local guide. Walk through the nearby villages, visit the local traditional homes, and visit cardamom plantations. Return to the village homestay for lunch. Post lunch, start by a car to the Pemayangtse Monastery (located on a hilltop), and Rabdentse Ruins (remains of the 2nd capital of the erstwhile state of Sikkim). Enjoy the ‘Tongba’, the homemade local millet beer & also ‘Bonfire’ at the village home. (Only for groups).

Day 03 (19-10-2015): Trekking

After Breakfast, proceed on a long trek to Rani Dunga with a local guide crossing Sanga-Choling Monastery, one of the Oldest Monastery in Sikkim. Trek through the scenic dense forests with all types of flora & fauna – a treat for nature lovers and bird watchers. Packed lunch is provided. Evening free. You can learn to prepare some local cuisine from the hosts.

Day 04 (20-10-2015): Mystical Experience (continues…)

After breakfast, proceed by a vehicle to Khecheopalri Lake, a mysterious, wish-fulfilling lake. Enroute visit Mt.Kanchenjunga Waterfalls. Also, visit Norbugang Chorten (the 1st capital of the Sikkim Kingdom) and Dudbi Monastery (a hilltop monastery) in Yuksom. Return to the homestay in the evening. If time permits, you can take a walk on the Singshore Bridge, the second highest suspension bridge in Asia.

Day 05 (21-10-2015): Bid Adieu

Today after your breakfast, return to NJP or Bagdogra airport for your onward journey. Have a nice journey.

Trip Cost:-

Rs.12,500/- per person for the entire trip (4 nights / 5 days)

Inclusions:-

a) Accommodation for 4 nights / 5 days on double sharing basis in a village home stay.

b) All transfers / sightseeing trips by Mahindra Bolero or Tata Sumo or similar vehicles

c) All home-made meals and evening tea / coffee except breakfast on 1st day and lunch & dinner on the 5th day.

d) Village walks and treks with a local guide

e) Local Tongba and Bonfire (only for groups)

f) All applicable taxes & service charges

Exclusions:-

a) Airfare / Train fare from your locations to NJP / Bagdogra

b) Food / Snacks other than mentioned above

c) Transport by itinerary only. Will not be at disposal.

d) Camera charges & Entry Fees

e) Additional cost arising due to mishaps, political unrest, natural calamities like – landslides, road blockage, etc. In such case extra will have to be paid on the spot by the guests directly.

f) Personal expenses such as laundry, bottled water, soft drinks, incidentals, porter charges, tips, medicines, etc.

g) Any item not specified in the ‘Inclusions’.
