We started from Kolkata derjelling mail to New Jalpaiguri. From there our booking was in Ramdhura which is again an amazingly tranquil hamlet where we need to take a night hault. After reaching there we were served hot veg momos with milk tea followed by wonderful sikkimist cuisine at night. Next day we moved on to Rongpo via Pedong, Reshi, Aritar route as Rongpo is the entry point of Sikkim, then to Zuluk. Our destination was Phadamchen for rest of the exploring days.Phadamchen is a small village with a large military settlement as the Indo-Tibet boarder is nearby. One can experience the high altitude mountains of Sikkim here.
The famous silk route named as Dzuluk was commonly used by traders traveling to Tibet as an overnight base.
We arranged our trip with our very well known office tour organiser/friend named Ritam(phone number:9832434027 native of Jalpaiguri / mail id: companiontravellers@gmail.com).This trip requires special permits and prior bookings for fooding and lodging, though there were a dozens of tourist lodges/homestays available but it is always safe to get a prior booking when travelling in peak seasons with your family.
