Day 1

This was my third visit. From a distance you could view the towers and the net spread around, that until I got near, I could understand they are rods not nets. It is popularly known as Bandra worli sea link which links west to south mumbai. It is also a western freeway that leads you to Nariman point.

The history says, in those days Mahim Causeway was the only road connecting to this part of mumbai. Much later the link was laid, built over the sea. The sea below the bridge is full of basalts, volcanic stuff and breccias, which play a major part of marine geology. Coming to the construction part, it is the first cable bridge on an open sea in India.

The towers are called as, pylon towers that are 4 feet tall, vertical with inserts and circular sections. To build the base lot of challenges were faced on the alignment. The cable stayed portion is 250m cable supported by flanks.

We reached sea face link via Bandra. After paying at the entrance I shall say we were flying on the bridge. First to the left i visualised sea- both sunrise and sunset gives awesome pics. There were boats riding and coolest air hits your face. On both sides you would encounter lovely tall, beautiful buildings which are stunning to look at especially in the moonlight. From a distance you would view the towers.

As you near they are jaw dropping. Under the sun they glisten, under the moon, neon lights cover the towers, with one light on every now and then. As you pass by the towers I felt an overhead protection. You should try bending your head to watch the movement of the towers, rods go by you, when it is actually your car that is moving. Then try turning back and view the tower moving away from you.

THINGS TO DO
-Enjoy your ride thoroughly since there is no stoppage you should feel the thrill of zooming in the car
-Have a full view of the sea from right to left and vice versa.
-Nehru planatorium is something to be visited when you drive to sea link
-Stop by Worli sea and enjoy splash of water
-There is a walking path, which you should try jogging
-Tasting chaats don't stop yourself thinking about diet
-visit worli fort built in 1675.

Be how many more times I drive to Worli sea face, still I would find new things to do, new ways to enjoy the ride. An ideal spot to visit in mumbai and drive.
