Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, is one of the fastest growing cities in Chhattisgarh and is also a tourist centre. Jungle Safari- is located in Sector-39 Naya Raipur. Naya Raipur is about 35 km from Raipur railway station and Swami Vivekananda Airport is 15 km from Raipur. It has a water body called 'Khandwa Reservoir' of 130 acres, which attracts many migratory birds.
Purkhouti Muktangan- Inaugurated by the Honorable AP Abdul Kalam, former President of India in November 2006, this blissful garden gives a glimpse of the rich culture of Chhattisgarh. According to the picture, there are various folk arts, wonderful, perspective giving life-related performances of tribals on the lively treasures of Chhattisgarh.
Vivekananda Ashram- Thanks to the efforts of Swami Atmanand, the Ramakrishna Seva Samiti was established in nineteenth century. Working on ideologies of renunciation and self-service and this ashram strives for self-liberation and welfare of the world.
Ghadi Chowk Raipur- There is a newly renovated pillar, near Shastri Chowk and Dau Kalyan Singh Hospital. The clock is really beautiful and the 'tower' is a famous tourist attraction.
Energy Park Raipur- Various cities in India are full of beautiful gardens, but none of them can match the uniqueness of Solar Power Park Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Mahant Ghasi Das Memorial Museum- is located in front of Collectorate's office on GE Road, Mahant Ghasi Das Memorial Museum is a rich heritage of Chhattisgarh. The museum was built with the significant contribution of Rani Jyoti Devi - Rajnandgaon. It was inaugurated by the Honorable President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. The rich cultural artefacts and archaeological excavations at Mahant Ghasi Das Memorial Museum are beautifully displayed and safely kept.
Vivekananda Sarovar Raipur- Being the oldest lake in Raipur, Vivekananda Sarovar is also called Buddha Talab. The great people say that Buddha Dev was the deity of the tribals and this pond is dedicated to him. A high statue of Swami Vivekananda has been erected in the middle of the lake.
Dudhadhari Temple- The Dudhadhari Temple, built in the 17th century, is the oldest temple in Raipur. The ancient mysticism of the temple attracts Lord Rama devotees. Relating to Vaishnavism, the Dudhadhari temple has original sculptures from the Ramayana period. The artifacts of the Ramayana period are very rare, which makes this temple special in its own way. This ancient temple is a wonderful destination for all pilgrims and art lovers.
Kaivalya Dham is a Jain temple which is one of the major tourist attractions of Raipur. This temple is made of white marble and is known as Sri Adinath Jain Swatambhar Tirtha. There are a total of 26 small and large temples in the temple complex. These temples have statues of 24 Tirthankaras.
