We started our journey without any planning and booking for hotels. Left home in the morning from Delhi and on the way stayed at Hotel Aloft, Zirakpur. Hotel was nice and ambience and food was good. The hotel was located in Zirakpur so you don't have to enter onto the busy streets of Chandigarh. Had a night halt there. Next day we started for Mcleodganj via Dharamshala, the route was scenic and the roads uphill were adventurous. On the way had a nice darshan at Chintpoorni Temple and Jwala Ji. The route has most of the famous temples on the way. The lanes over the few hills were very steep after Dharamshala and at few stretches the road was single, u can easily have a glimpse of downhill which was making me fearful. But my hubby who is a nice driver made me feel comfy. We were following the route to ITC , Mcleodganj thru GPRS and we reached there at night. The hotel was nice and big. Rooms were very cozy and food was good. They have a nice swimming pool and place to do yoga. Next day we went to see Dharamshala Stadium which was awesome. It was in the midst of hills which were covered with snow. The air blowing was so refreshing and cool. Stopped at a nice coffee shop in Dharamshala and went back to our hotel. Next day we started for Bir-Billing, the first paragliding stations. The route was really scenic. Bir is a big ground with greenery everywhere. You can enjoy the paragliding from Billing to Bir. Also we visited a monastery which gave us an experience of Tibet culture. You will not find many tourist there in Bir Billing. Next day we started our journey and we headed towards Manali. The route was awesome and our car was passing under the mountains. The roads were nice and scenic. We reached Manali in 7 hours from Jogindernagar and stayed in Hotel Piccasso. In evening it started raining and we had a nice walk on Mall road. Later at night when we saw outside our hotel window we see the snowflakes. The next day the park and pool in front of room was full of snow and snow capped mountains were visible from our window. We left for Delhi the second day and reached Chandigarh in 8 hours. The road from Manali to Chandigarh is very busy road and you will find more Trucks and tempos as compared to public transport.

The entire journey was adventurous and we covered 1414kms in 8 days making it a memorable experience.
