One part of travel is being daring. Though adventure sports spike our adrenaline, there are spots, which raise our blood pressure. No doubt India is a land of beautiful nature, that though they are dangerous still the can be visited. One thing I would like to mention here is, these spots would chill your spine.

DUMAS BEACH- This beach looks very beautiful in the morning but as sun sets it turns into devils paradise. Many who visit leave this beach by sunset, but those who challenged to stay never returned. The horror story that makes this place dangerous was, it was a burial ground once upon a time, where ashes mixed with the sand and turned into a dark shade. Lot of paranormal activities are reported that laughing, crying sounds are heard. Located in Surat gujarath, there is lot of eerie silence, negativity prevailing in this beach.

GUREZ VALLEY- Located in high Himalayas 86kms away from Bandipore, this valley is full of snow capped mountains. Razdan pass leads you to reach this valley easily, and the drive is to be tactful else you are prone to fall meters down. This pass has beautiful views, but it is very very steep and very scary too. Six months it is closed due to snowfall. This valley is remote much near to Line of control. So it is unsafe and volatile. Land mines are seen mostly that anytime it can blow off, at the same time avalanches are very very common here.

KULDHARA- It is called as abandoned village of Rajasthan, that prevailed in 13th century. This village stayed in ruins due to earthquake. Coming to why it is called as the belief that ghost prevails here is very daunting. The story goes this way, it was a prosperous village of Paliwal Brahmins, where evil eyes of the ruler of this place fell on women, he wanted to marry by force. He threatened he would kill if his desire is not satisfied. People of this village left by putting a curse no one will live in this village. There is lot of eerie ness, in this place that you would have lot of uncomfortability.

SIJU- Popularly called bat cave, located in Meghalaya this cave is popular for, stalagmites and stalactites. It is one of the longest cave in India, with beautiful nature. This cave is an ecological hub on siju water caves. It was also chamber of princess Di, where you would find purana paintings. Unless you Wade through the water that is knee deep you won’t be able to explore the cave. Besides there are lot of dark passages whereby you don’t get lost. From Guwahati it is 216km away.

NICOBAR ISLANDS- They come under Andaman Nicobar islands, surrounded by Indian Ocean, and srilanka. These islands are full of forest, that contains coconut, betel nuts palms, and casuarina trees. Being an archipelago, though you are not short of any essentials, there is lot of mystery, danger surrounding this island. Indira point, beaches, Campbell nations park, are places to visit.

GURUDONGMAR LAKE- Named after Guru Padmasambhava founder of Tibetan Buddhism, it is located on the north of Kanchendzonga range, where Tsp Lahaul and Teesta river flow. When he visited the lake, it was frozen, people couldn’t use the water, he saw divinity within, so with prayer he touched the lake thus turning it into water. This lake is 17,000ft high above sea level. Getting permit, this lake is viewed. From north Sikkim packages are organised, by road from lachen you could drive to this lake.

BHANGARH- Situated in Rajgarh Alwar Rajasthan, bhangarh is where sariska tiger reserve starts. From Jaipur, it is 65km away. From 1738 famine set all over this village that, slowly it became inhabited. This place is no doubt haunted that from sunset to sunrise nobody is allowed to enter this place. Bhangarh fort has an eerie atmosphere. The story was, tantrik curse prevails all over the town, that slowly it became desolate.

ROOPKUND LAKE- It is called as a skeleton lake located in Uttarakhand surrounded by Himalayas. Lot of human skeletons are found around this lake. During 9th century a group of people were killed due to hailstorm that their remains are found around this lake. It is a picturesque lake, where trekking is popular. Bedi bugyal festival is celebrated every autumn around this lake.

DOW HILLS- Popularly called as “The land of orchids” located in kurseong west Bengal, this hill station is full of plantations, landscapes, lush green plantations, along with dark side full of mystery and paranormal activities. A stretch called as, death road is not only scary but people have seen, heard, and have had the feeling that they are being followed. There is a boys school near this woods, which is haunted. Eerie ness along with dark forests, make this spot very very dangerous.

LAMBHI DEHAR MINES- Located in Mussoorie, state of Uttarakhand this mine is called as, deserted land. Years back 50,000 workers who worked here, died due to lack of safety regulations that their spirit haunts here. Strange noises are heard, besides accidents.

India being a land of culture, beautiful nature, has lot of place, that got into ruins which turned as, haunted places, dangerous spots. Nature is blessed with abundant beauty and darkness, that to visit a dark spot, which is labelled as, dangerous, haunted, a traveller needs not only physical strength, but mental strength too. The experiences gathered, the atmosphere of that place, and the negativity shouldn’t create impressions or havoc in daily life. To visit, deep understanding of our own selves, coupled with loads of strength, will make your visit fruitful.
