Bringing Back Innocent Chatters: The Uncaptured Decade of Wanderlust and Wonder

Ten years ago, I bid farewell to my quaint hometown of Panaji, Goa, and embarked on a journey that would reshape my life in ways I never imagined. As I penned my last Tripoto blog post in 2014, little did I know that the bustling metropolis of Mumbai would become my new home, opening doors to a world of endless possibilities and adventures.

The Mumbai Chronicles

Mumbai, with its pulsating energy and diverse tapestry of cultures, became the launchpad for my globe-trotting escapades. The city's magnetic pull drew kindred spirits who shared my insatiable wanderlust. Together, we traversed the length and breadth of India and beyond, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

My professional life in Mumbai proved to be a passport to international destinations. From boardrooms in Seoul to conferences in the savannahs of Kenya, work trips seamlessly blended with personal explorations. Each journey was a masterclass in cultural immersion, offering invaluable lessons that transcended the confines of office spaces.

Living in the Moment

As I look back on the past decade, I realise that my approach to travel evolved. Gone were the days of meticulously documenting every moment. Instead, I chose to immerse myself fully in the experiences, savouring each instant with unbridled enthusiasm.

My taste buds embarked on their own journey, sampling delicacies from street food stalls in Bangkok to Michelin-starred restaurants in Tokyo. Each meal told a story, a flavourful narrative of local traditions and culinary artistry.

From concrete built-up cities to witnessing the rice fields in Bali, I found myself captivated by the rich tapestry of global cultures. These experiences broadened my horizons and fostered a deep appreciation for diversity.

The Ups and Downs

Travel, like life, is not without its challenges. There were missed flights, lost luggage (OMG, what a nightmare!), and moments of homesickness. Yet, each hurdle became a stepping stone, teaching me resilience and adaptability. The joy of discovering hidden gems in unfamiliar cities far outweighed any temporary setbacks.

But, with challenges, come sweet cherish-able moments too. Along the way, I forged friendships that transcended borders. Whether it was sharing a laugh with workmates in South Korea or bonding with fellow travellers over a campfire in the Masai Mara, these connections enriched my journey immeasurably.

A New Chapter Begins

As I write this, I find myself at the threshold of a new adventure. Newly married, I'm excited to embark on future travels with my partner, the one who rekindled my passion for writing and sharing these experiences.

This blog post serves as a tribute to the incredible decade that has passed. It's a celebration of the sights I've seen, the flavours I've savoured, and the personal growth I've experienced. From the sun-kissed beaches of Bali to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps, each destination has left an indelible mark on my soul.
