Some beautiful moment in Himachal Pradesh at bijlimahadev Bijlimahadev temple
Next day we started our journey from our hotel to Bijlimahadev which is nearly 62km from the manali and nearly 20km from Kullu. We trek nearly 7km which was amazing experience. There is shiva temple on the top of the hill. This place got its name after the great miracle that occurs occasionally. The “shiva lingam” is struck by lightning and it break in to pieces. Then the priest of the temple collect all pieces and join them together with the help of butter acting as a adhesive.
Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at an altitude of about 2,460m[1] in the Kullu Valley. Bijli Mahadev is one of the ancient temples in India. Located 14 km from Kullu across the Beas river, it can be approached by a rewarding trek of 3 km.
A panoramic view of Kullu and Paravati valleys can be seen from the temple. The 60 feet high staff of Bijli Mahadev temple glistens like a silver needle in the sun.
