Bus reached cancona,Goa. I booked room at summer by hostelcrowd, palolem. It was 1.6 mile walk from cancona. First thing I witnessed there was a beautiful church, St.Theresa of Jesus church. Continued my walk and reached the hotel.
Very welcomed reception staff, clean rooms, adjacent cafe and 5 minutes walk to beach. I got bike for hire from a person working at the cafe it costs 350 INR for 24 hours. THE JOURNEY BEGINS.
The first stop is palolem beach. White sand not much of souls. There were few beach restaurants opened. This is a great place to take a long walk. But unfortunately this place is not suited for the sunset view. The sun went behind a Clif.
The next stop is Agonda beach, it is a beautiful white sand beach where one can sit and drench their soul in everlasting beauty. Heard from fellow travelers this is the best place to see sunset around this area. But unfortunately it was to late for me.
Next stop is cola beach. This seems to be less popular beach. The road to this beach is hard to find. From the main road it was 2mile drive down a forest road which leads to this beautiful destination. There were hardly two Solus in this place. This is the best beach I visited in this entire trip. All the shacks are closed as it is a no season time.
At the evening planned to see the sunset from here. But it turns out this beach is not for the sunset view. It is one of the smallest beach with mostly rocks.
With sunset spent rest of the evening in the palolem beach at this beautiful restaurant called Dropadi. Wonderful food with good view of the beach. Since it's Ganesh chathurthi festive time there were parades and fireworks all over the place
This was the next destination this morning. A beautiful drive through a road covered with trees and bridges you will reach this spectacular white sand beach.
Next checked out of the hotel and started to colva where I booked my next dorm. The travel fromcancona to madgoan took like 1 hr 30 minutes by bus.
Finally reached colva with a tiresome journey. But the first thing welcomed me was a church built in 1630's. I checked into the room at "Unique Garden". It was a average experience with the stay. Did a quick refresh and started down south to cover the most famous spot in Goa.
Will it be daunting? Will I be lonely? Will I be able to manage without knowing the language? And lot more uncertainty finally decided to go on asolo backpacking trip. Its GOA... Here I'm sharing my footsteps along the trip.
Started to cancona,Goa with one day of dorm booked at palolem. Made lot of search in internet to find the exact guide to plan out an itinerary, but it always turns out to be the most important places which are far apart. So started this trip with no plans made.
It's Cabo de Rama fort.. I missed this destination as I didn't have time to make it here so I traveled all the way south to this place the 45 minutes bike ride is totally worth for the view this place has to offer.
One of the secluded medium size beach in Goa. The view point gives a splendid view fo the beach from the cliff. on the way back to colva I made quick stops at mobar beach and one of the bridge across a backwater.
The UNESCO world heritage site which has the historic and the enormous structure they envisaged 300 years ago. Most of them are destroyed the bell is currently at the our lady of the immaculate church at panjim. Next stop is to see the legacy.
Early morning started around 6.30 AM visited this beautiful beach with a diver between a golf course.
Next I set to watch a Sunset. I visited to this place called sunset beach which is 1.6 KM from the colva beach. It is one of the beautiful sunset experience. My luck the sky was so clear that I could see the sun going down the horizon.
I spent the night roaming around the madgoan city. It was really peaceful and awesome experience.
