The decision was reviewed, verified, and modified by the IAF in consultation with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) at a meeting on Friday.
For travellers:
While you can still choose to travel by road, if you live at a drivable distance, the complete closing of the airport will not only cause inconvenience to the common public but also disruption for devotees who visit Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, the most visited place in Jammu.
Moreover, places like Raghunath Temple, Bahu Fort, Bhimgarh Fort, Peer Kho Cave, Manda Zoo, Mubarak Mandi Palace, Shiv Khori, Sheesh Mahal will also not be accessible. So, plan your travels accordingly!
