First, it was about the Mumbai-Delhi highway which reduced the time taken to travel between the two cities to just 12-hours. And now for Delhiites, a drive to Jim Corbett will save them an hour.
Earlier, the route from Delhi to Jim Corbett via Ramnagar was about 280 km. But now the State Environment and Forest Department of Uttarakhand has decided to open Pakharo gate at Kotdwar, which is much closer to Delhi.
This decision is expected to cut down travel time between Delhi-NCR and Jim Corbett by at least an hour since Kotdwara is located at 200 km from the capital.
The alternate route provides relief to a lot of people who are looking for a quick getaway near Delhi. Also, the new route is expected to scale up eco-tourism in Garhwal area.
Now let's wait and look out for the next decision that will make travelling convenient in India.
