I flew to Jaipur from Bangalore and reached there early morning. I stayed at Zostel which is situated close to Hawa Mahal. I dropped my bags in the storage area as it was too early to check-in. With my camera, I started walking down the street towards Hawa Mahal. And the city of Jaipur unfurled to me...
Visit Hawa Mahal - don't forget to drop by at the most famous coffee shop right opposite to it and enjoy the view of the Pink City
Check out the Jantar Mantar - it will definitely blow your mind if old instruments and astronomy interests you!
Take the audio tour at the Jaipur City Palace - don't miss out the famous and photogenic doorways in the palace
Light show at Amber Fort- after 8pm, there is a light and sound show at the Amber Fort (make sure to confirm the timings and get your tickets)
Sunrise at Jal Mahal - as this place is closed for tourists, you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise by this spot!
Experience the magnificence of Amber Fort - after taking a tour of the main fort area, definitely go up on the Amber fort wall to catch a view of the fort, the city and the wall itself! Also, don't forget to check out Panna Meena ka Kund, it's a step well (do visit it if you don't have the time to go to Chand Bauri)
Jagat Shiromani Temple - one of the very few temples of Lord Krishna and Meera bai
Jaigarh Fort - drop by this place to see the one of the biggest cannons but as this fort was majorly an armoury, it doesn't have any luxurious structures
Nahargarh Fort - around sunset, reach Nahargarh Fort to enjoy the sun setting on the beautiful Pink City
Albert Hall Museum, Birla Mandir, Patrika Gate - if you aren't a museum person, feel free to skip it but this museum has an Egyptian Mummy and Patrika Gate is a famous hotspot for colorful pictures!
Gatore ki Chhatriyaan - ornate dome-topped cenotaphs fill this royal crematorium
Galta Ji Temple - experience a peaceful sunset here
Hawa Mahal - the night view of this place is equally beautiful..
Cost for one for the entire trip (excluding flight fares and food) - Rs. 3500
This included charges for a rental bike, hostel, entry charges, etc.
On an ending note, don't forget to try the delicious Rajasthani Thali, kachori and malai ghewar! Have a wonderful trip!
