After hundreds of Plans, we chose to visit Amboli the beautiful Hill station located in the southern range of Sahyadri hills, Kingdom of waterfalls located in Maharastra.
14th September 2k19, we took an overnight journey from Ballari to Belgaum, reached Belgaum at 6:00 am. We went to alatage village for refreshment, then had breakfast on the way and reached amboli by 10:00 am.
Throughout our journey, it was drizzling continuously, the route was completely covered with fog and mist, plenty of gushing waterfalls, hairpin curves, enough viewpoints, an awesome scenery.
Nangartha water falls
Nangartha falls is a narrow gorge on which the water falls from 40-50 ft into a funnel-shaped wedge and rushes into Valley, located behind the Nangartha temple on the main road.
We went to viewpoints built around it, spent quality time, taking pictures and it suddenly started pouring and we rushed into the car and moved to next sight.
Kavalshet point 12:05 pm
An interesting sight in amboli falls with breathtaking views of endless valleys and plenty of baby waterfalls. The fascinating thing about this point is THE REVERSE WATERFALL, which is said to be an optical illusion created by the wind flow in monsoon. We spent some time in the open air, gazing out at those lush green valleys, baby waterfalls, reverse waterfall, just taking in every bit of tranquillity that comes with being so close to nature.
Hiranyakeshi temple (2:00 pm)
The holy shrine sacred to the goddess Parvathi, a fresh mountain stream originates in the deep cave , gushes into the ghats of Amboli as Hiranyakeshi river. It’s around 800 meters from the main road, After crossing a small bridge we head towards the temple on the way we get a small-small waterfall, surrounded by lush green trees and river.
Dhabdhaba waterfall (4 pm)
One of the crowd-pleasing place in Amboli, water falls from the rocky height, flow under the road to downhill. Steps are constructed leading to the midway of the waterfall. We could not visit the sunset point because of visibility was so poor due to rain. we decided to return back to home.
This trip was really enjoyable, thank you guys making this possible and memorable @Akshaya Govind, Arpita, Madhu, Chaitra, Snigdha, Srinidhi, Basavaprakash.
