Alert! You Might Want to Check These Updated Covid Guidelines Before Travelling

With a sudden surge in covid cases, there has been a general sense of panic amidst the people. In lieu of this, many Indian states have made it compulsory for travellers to carry a negative COVID-19 test report for travellers upon their arrival.

Before you travel to these states, here are the guidelines that you need to follow:

Delhi

If you are planning to travel to Delhi in the coming days and you are travelling from Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, you need to carry a covid negative certificate not older than 72 hours.

The order would be enforced from 26th February (midnight) to 15th March (afternoon).

Mumbai

People entering the state from Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Kerala, Goa and Rajasthan will have to show RT-PCR negative report not older than 96 hours. If the passengers have symptoms, they will undergo Antigen test. If a person is found positive after the test, they will be sent to the Covid Care Centre, and the cost would be borne by the passenger only.

Chattisgarh

A strict check is to be done on passengers entering from Mumbai and Delhi. The arrangements are to be made for general screening and contact tracing of people from Chhattisgarh and other states by the General Administration Department(GAD).

Pune

Passengers arriving from Kerala have to undergo a mandatory RT-PCR Test by an order issued by the Pune Municipal Corporation.

Haridwar

Keeping the Kumbh Mela 2021 festivities in mind, Haridwar has issued a mandate which requires travellers to carry a negative RT-PCR test certificate, and the test should be done within 72 hours from the date of visit.

Jammu and Kashmir

According to a mandate released by the J&K authorities on 21st February, travellers won’t be leaving the airport until they receive their negative test reports. The passengers would be kept in isolation if the report comes positive. Travellers carrying RT-PCR negative report not older than 48 hours can skip the screening process.

Karnataka

Passengers coming in from the neighboring state of Maharashtra need to produce a negative RT-PCR test, not older than 72 hours. All vehicles coming in from Maharashtra whether flights, personal vehicles, buses and trains will have to follow this rule. Airline staff, bus conductors and TTE’s are responsible for checking the report.
