Akshardham Temple -Delhi (Temple Water,Laser Show) Basics To Know

Akshardham Temple (The Hidden Gem/A Well Kept Secret/Safe From Selfies/Clean & Green)

I have been longing to visit Akshardham Temple as I always had a view of the Grand Temple complex from the metro window. And it felt like it called me towards it.

Finally, my travel motivation (My Dear Sweet Friend) was In-house on the day and proposed to visit the temple in the evening as it was afternoon already.

We had heard a lot about the Evening Laser & Water show,about its majestic view and mesmerizing story line.

We reached the temple by metro (it was 6:10 when we arrived at the Akshardham metro station). The temple is at a 5 Minute walk from the metro station. Still to reduce any chance of getting late, we haired a rickshaw to reach the temple entrance.

The Complex entry if followed by:

1.Enter the Main Gate

2.Baggage Check (If you are Carrying any Bag)

3.Walk a little & Reach a stand where you fill a small slip.(For Giving in Your Mobile Phone etc)

4.Take the slip to a Cloak Room Window and submit your phones.( one slip can be used for multiple phones)

5. Receive a Token for your phones from cloak room.

6.Gather in queues for security check.(Please do not carry any objectionable item - Cigarette,lighter etc)

7.Males & Females will separate from here into separate queues.

7. Walk in your queue to reach the security check.(Its not very busy in the Day but evenings are quite busy and may take 20 minutes in the queue).

8.You can meet your family/friends etc here after getting through the check.(Males and Females can meet again after crossing the security check)

9.There you go !!!! Now you are inside, explore the temple complex.

10.The temple is Well Marked.(Still you can buy a 5 Rupee Guidebook inside)

11. Go ahead and then you can put your shoes in a small cloak room (take token for the shoes also) and then you can enter the Main Temple.

12.The water show Ticket Counters are available inside the Temple Complex (Ticket Price : INR 80 Per Adult)

13. Meditate and Pray.

14. Move on to the Show Area for the Evening Water Show.

15. You can buy some snacks for during the show there and after that you take an exit where you can enjoy some shopping and food.(There are shops and restaurants inside the complex)

16.You can get your picture clicked and printed in the temple complex from a dedicated Picture Clicking spot on the exit way after the show. (Cost : INR 130-140 Per Picture)

17. The Metro station is designed for tourism purpose so, you can enjoy mall like facilities at Akshardham metro station.
