A Weekend Gateway to Mandarmani !! - First Trip after Corona outbreak

Mandarmani is one of the best place to enjoy sea beaches if you are staying in and around Kolkata. It is a semi town located at the northern end of Bay of Bengal.A perfect bliss to beach lovers over weekend.

We started our journey from Kolkata by car at around 4 pm. We reached Mandermani at around 9 pm . It's about 180 kms from Kolkata and more or less takes 5hr also based on your driving and number of stops. On the way we took a break at the Sher e Punjab Dhaba , grabbed a cup of tea and then continued our journey.

We had booked our rooms in Arya Beach Resort , rooms were side sea facing and the resort was really good, and the best part is they have a open space where you can sit and relax under the stars and listen to the soothing sound of the waves. You can just grab a beer and chill out over here!

After freshening up and after a 5hr drive we relaxed in the lawn just by gazing at the stars in the clear sky and the magical sounds of the waves adds an extra flavour to serenity. We had our dinner afterwards and that's it for the 1st day.

Second day we had breakfast and we decided to explore few of the places near Mandermani also. There is something call Bichitrapur Mangroves at a range of 40kms from Mandermani. But due to the corona pandemic the boat rides are not functioning currently so I will suggest not to go there as of now. Then we started for another hidden gem - Talsari , which is in a range of 10km from Bichitrapur.
This is indeed one best best place I have seen. It's a place where the ocean meets a canal water. The best part is there is an island kind of place covered with greenary and you can now cross the water just by walking and reach to the island. It's such a beautiful place.
If you are a non vegetarian and fish lover you will get many sea food and fishes for lunch over there.
After visiting Talsari we came back took some rest and enjoyed sunset from the beach and also spent the evening in the beach.

This is the last day of our trip , morning we enjoyed in the waves , if you are in a group of friends then you will have unlimited fun. We checked out of the hotel and then headed towards another off beat place nearby -Mohana. If you are visiting this place just make sure you can tolerate the raw smell of the fishes as this is the market place for the fishes.
Apart from that the place has its unique beauty of having a long walk to the end point of the beach where the waves hit the rocks and the place is also an attraction to click beautiful photos.
Overall this sums up our weekend trip to Mandermani and after almost 8 months of not traveling to anywhere felt really good to get in touch with nature again

Additional information:
1. Room costs 2500 INR for AC double bed room in Arya Beach resort
2. Overall expense for a group of 5 including travel,room, and food is around 5000 INR per person
3. Food in Arya is decent , few dishes are really good.
4. Use Google map to travel , locations are perfectly given.
5. Now the weather is very warm in the morning and also bit humid and better you should book AC rooms.
6. On the safety the rooms in Arya are sanitized after every Check outs.
