I along with my college friends decided to go for a trip to Bir for a small vacation to refresh Our selves from our daily routine.
We boarded the bus from Kashmere gate to BIR with high spirit !!!!!
Our first stop was at Dhabha in Murthal where we had a delicious breakfast for dinner (Tandoori Aloo ka Parantha with Chai).
We were supposed to reach our hostel "The Bunker" by 9 am , but we got delayed and reached "our home away from home" by 11 am .
We had bunk beds on sharing basis , The property is simply breathtaking, nested between the views of mountains.
After freshening up our first task was to rent a cycle as the saying goes"A bad day on a mountain bike always beats a good day in the office"
Our First stop was at the Nyingma Kitchen , This Restaurant was hyped on the internet but alas i didn't find it to be that good maybe i am used to Delhi Momo's (tandoori Punjabi style ) but the view the restaurant offered was breathtaking
and the Monestry nearby has a very beautiful architecture
After that we visited the place which is known as the landing site in BIR .
The View was simply divine
That much cycling made us as hungry as Snorlax , So our next cafe on the list was Glider’s Pizzeria
This is one of my favorite cafe: the view and wood smoke pizza they were simply delicious and breathtaking.
We spent time clicking picture and eating our heart concern
With the sunset fast approaching we cycled back to the landing site to enjoy the beautiful sunset as Rabindranath Tagore in Stray Birds quotes :"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add colour to my sunset sky "
We were back to Bunker by night for dinner and Bonfire
DAY 2
That morning I went for a stroll as my companions were on the trip to the sky (Paragliding) while I was forced to walk on earth (because of my leg injury).
But even the walk on mountain become as divine as flying .
My breakfast destination for that day was the Himalayan pizza.
The view of the mountain morning and freshly made pizza were heavenly.
As my pizza finishes my friends were back from their adventure,
As the Afternoon approach, we started the trek to the waterfall in BIR.
The trail was breathtaking,It mostly rocky with clear path as the quote goes "Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference."
We reached the waterfall by reaching Gunned village, which is 2 km from Bir village and trek for 20 min from here. It’s slippery to reach the waterfall and no proper trail here at the end.
We reached the hostel with a tried body but happy smiles we slept with a heavy heart as we have to return to DELHI next day but this trip will be in our memories forever
