Day 1

A day trip to Poovar... initially we had no plans for this place when we planned our trip to Kerala in 2018 though a lot of friends insisted that we must visit Poovar... It was our driver who insisted when we were staying at Kovalam that our trip will be incomplete without Poovar and thats how we could visit this wonderful place. Poovar is in the district of Thiruvanthapuram, almost in the southern tip of the district. Its natural beauty lies in the confluence of river, lake, backwater and the sea. Here, the Neyyar river passes into the Arabian Sea. The entire trip is on a boat, a ride of about 2 hours taking through the beautiful magrove forests, exotic Birds, floating hotels and restaurants, Golden Sands beach. It was really a wonderful experience, boating and moving around through the plush green forests and backwaters and then landing on the beach. Mesmerising moments. The 2 hours passed by so fast.......
