Hi, I have lots of fur.. Am I a tibetan mastiff or a pooch, well they call me pahadi kutta (mountain dog)
Some call me CUTE I'm sure!
Waking up to the sound of humans, I love the most..they rub me, tickle, scratch my ears too. I love helping my two legged friends when they are lost.
Stretching my paws, my nose senses something.. These humans are my food supply.
What would I have done without them;my mother, I think she left me here to die.
She must have been beautiful of course, big and fluffy, huge like a rock..
It's been a year down tracking the parvati town, no signs of her, no brother no sister.. The entire forest is my family, I am their guardian and here we are!
Hi rock! hi tree! Hey river! Hey fellow four legged! I hop and jump from Boulder to Boulder.. So many humans wearing colourful clothes, wowww i exhaled walking and trekking shoulder to shoulder!
I walk ahead of them, letting them know the route, "oh no, not there!", I stop and look!
"follow me", as I wag my tail and hook.
Me sleep near the river side besides a rock and some fungus next to me.. I watch my reflection into the river and see my coat of fur hanging with glee!
The Next day
Next day
I meet this man, he has ears just like me.. Why is he alone up here, I think,
Let's sit next to him, he needs company.
We are all animals in this huge kingdom, I have my sense of smell, humans can speak..
How are we so different? Did the humans went ahead of us and proceed?
"Is he burning"? God, I look here and there for help. I stand up-wag my tail, trying to look closely, "what the hell"!!!
He calms me down and says "it's a cigarette".
I don't know anything about, why would smoke come out if he eats it, I said.
To much confusion ;we lie down and talk and share, he makes me hear his favourite music, his dreams and plans and about his ex-girlfriend and now I'm shy as hell.
"RUFFLE" he called me, looking at the river.
He said, "let's eat? Want some? More? Good boy".. The human took care of me, what more will a dog need?
He is my Alpha, he has fur around his face, 6feet tall.. I licked him on his leg for more!
It's almost evening and I see the river change from golden to grey..
We heard 50 songs together, he played with my ears too in some instance.
Humans aren't so bad after all, they just don't speak, I thought. They search for peace and quiet, they have money;"why come so far?"
Is everything so strange out there? No one wants to speak and accept their dark?
Dusk approaches
He cleans up the place, filling up all the dirt in a black bag.. PARVATI valley is full of plastic and bottles, now I'm living here too amongst all the rag.
"nature has given us all that we have today", he says and we should leave it better for our next.
No one has the right to misuse it, be it an alcoholic, a stoner, a villager, tourist-priest nor any other conquest.
"don't leave", I pawed. "don't! Why don't you lie down with me throughout the night", I thought.
He is going back, the human informed me.. Back to delhi to work in some industry!
Why do they travel for work from a village to a city and come back to the same village, in a need for serenity!
One road to Kasol, the other back to where I belong;walking feet in feet with the human until he lowered down..
He hugged me tight, I closed my eyes and felt the warmth!
He said he will return as I waited to catch a glimpse of the human story teller I met few hours back.
He looked back and screamed, "love you Ruffle"!!! His sight slowly disappeared as I stopped wagging my Tail.
