5 Reasons Why You Need to Sail on India's MOST Luxurious Cruise

If there is one vacation I have waited a long long time for, it's definitely the cruise vacation. It has been on my bucket list forever and I couldn't be happier when Cordelia Cruises started a cruise line in India. It was a dream come true! I got a chance to go on a 5N 6D cruise to Goa and Lakshadweep and it's safe to say, I had the best time of my life.

Let me tell you why your next trip or vacation should be on the Cordelia Cruise and why you absolutely will not regret it -

If you are worried about being stranded in the middle of the ocean, then you have nothing to worry! There is a whole new world inside this enormous ship. Right from multiple restaurants, gaming zones, fitness center, spa and salon, theatre, Casino, party deck, Television, 24*7 service on one call. There is never going to be a dull minute on the cruise. All you have to do is pack your bags, complete your documents and security and board on this stunning enormous ship. Everything is taken care of once you are on board.

2. Hassle- Free Multi-Destination Travel

This one is my most favourite part, I have never been a big fan of transit travel, I don't enjoy road trips or travel journeys to go from one destination to another, it's exhausting, tiring, I am sleep deprived and spend a lot of time in transit and then recouping.

On a cruise ship, you wake up in a new city without really having to pack-unpack and travel. You get to relax on board, make the most of all the amenities present, get a goodnight sleep and you wake up in a new destination which would have otherwise taken you hours to get to.

Since we took the 5N6D cruise, we were able to travel from Mumbai - Goa - Lakshadweep - Mumbai. It wasn't tiring at all, infact we were absolutely pumped to take a tour around Goa and Kadmat island (Lakshadweep) after resting for 7 hrs in the night, eating a hearty breakfast and applying sufficient sunscreen 😀

3. Fun activities on board

I did wonder if 5 days would be a lot of time on board? And if there's enough to do across those days without getting bored or feeling like you've had enough of the cruise life! From personal experience and without any bias, on the day of leaving, I did wish that I was staying for another 1-2 days or possibly if I could continue being on the ship for another sail 😀

Cordelia has really thought this through, I don't remember feeling bored at any point. They have a well set itinerary like live shows, pool parties, gaming zones, live music, cocktail and mocktail hours, dance parties, games which are very well organised by the crew.

We would receive an itinerary a day before and there was always something to do for everyone, every age group. Right from - Housie, to cocktail making session, live music, games for kids, photography session, dance class, zumba, yoga, etc. A whole lot to do across the day, and when I wasn't taking part in one the activities, I was happily sitting on the top deck lost in the gaze of the ocean and the sound of the waves. Hours will pass by but you wouldn't ever be tired of looking at the ocean or miss the sunset, it's absolutely gorgeous!

4. It's the perfect holiday for everyone

I noticed that the Cordelia Cruise is a great option for everyone, families, couples and friends. We saw all sorts of groups and they were all equally enjoying and making the most of it. The itinerary is well planned keeping in mind the age groups and group type.

There are bunch of interesting things to do for a couple as well a family of 15 when traveling together. Kids are probably the happiest on board, it's their wonderland. The crew looks after their needs, in terms of meal planning as well as organising activities. Cruising is perfect for socialising in the real sense, you get to unplug because you are not really using your phone, it's a great opportunity to connect and make memories with your loved ones without worrying about the hustle and bustle back home.

5. You don't need to plan, everything is taken care of

One of the pros in comparison to your other vacation, is you would otherwise end up spending a lot of time in planning meals, itinerary, travel routes, preferences of every individual, packing-unpacking, etc.

While on the cruise, everything is taken care of. There are 5 meals each day - breakfast, lunch, high-tea, dinner and midnight buffet. There is an extension menu and the food taste, quality and service will not disappoint. Itinerary is already planned, you can pick and chose which one you want to attend. There are live shows which are outstanding and highly recommended.

Even your tour to Kochi, Goa and Lakshadweep are pre-planned, there are 3-4 different tour visit packages at varying costs covering different aspects of the city in Kochi or Goa, you can choose which one would you like to opt for and that's it, everything else is taken care of. There are organised tours with guides and dedicated AC buses which will take you around the city. You also get some time to explore the area by yourself or indulge in local cuisine or shopping. This of course is optional, you can also choose to visit Goa/Kochi by yourself without any additional charge. You just have to ensure to be back on time as per the timings. Lakshadweep too, there are multiple packages depending on if you want to only visit the island or also take part in a bunch of water sports activities.

Overall, I had the time of my life and I absolutely vouch for a cruise vacation with Cordelia Cruises. They have trips for 2 nights, 3 nights and 5 nights. Add a cruise vacation to your bucket list and experience at least once because it's worth it 😀
