We won’t lie but we at 306090 Production don’t remember the weekends spent being at home during pandemic. All this while we were restless to move out & Finally, after the slight COVID settlement, this weekend was an escape to the fog land, Igatpuri in Maharashtra---- Igatpuri is a hill station about 120km away from Mumbai, Maharashtra. This was one of the major reasons to choose a place like Igatpuri for the escape. It’s difficult to express the joy of travelling after such a huge break. For explorers like us, it becomes much more difficult as travel is their source of survival. We couldn’t sleep the previous night dreaming about the mountains, coolness and serenity after so long. It was a 3 hours long drive to our destination. In travel and exploring places, the journey is the most beautiful part, isn’t it? We just kept on observing the landscapes, a feeling of leaving behind something and entering a magical world, is what we felt. The tea breaks add to the cherry while travelling. We would rename Igatpuri as FOG land, where clouds meet the land, since you really cannot spot even the person standing at a one hand distance away from you. It is covered with waterfalls, dams and greenery all around. We had a target to explore 5 places for the trip to be satisfactory. Our first stop was the Railway dam, it is vast unending to what we could see, heading towards a hidden Mandir on a hill, the temple caretaker has build the mandir on one stone in 18days, isn’t that amazing. Moving ahead to Bhavli waterfalls we drenched ourselves with purity, next was the fishing point and my fishing rod caught 2 fishes! Ending the trip at Vipasana Centre and the Museum of Igatpuri shares the heritage stories and civilisation of the hill station.. We have captured the serenity of the entire journey in our diary and probably sharing a glimpse over here! This waterfall in the pic is the last pitstop at Igatpuri where nobody enters that moment we only felt the cool breeze and greenery. We were only 4 and this memory wont fade!
