Chandramouleshwara Temple Hubli Karnataka is on the banks of the Unkal lake adjacent to the Nrupatunga Hills in the Hubli-Dharwad city is a 900-year-old temple of Chandramouleshwara. Master Shiva is the divinity of the temple. The temple has magnificent figures that draw in any workmanship sweetheart. Because of its archeological significance, the temple is protected under the Archeological Survey of India under the Act 1958 on Ancient Monuments and Archeological locales.
The temple houses two major Shivalingas and two Nandi (the vehicle of Lord Shiva, the bull) sculptures at the passageway of the temple . The temple is found 5km from Hubli on the Hubli-Dharwad street. Close to the temple is the grand and tranquil area of the Unkal Lake which is an ideal cookout spot for sightseers.

History of Chandramouleshwara Temple
Chalukyas assembled this temple in the eleventh and twelfth century. Tales say that Chalukyans needed to gloat their compositional wonder and grandstand their influence and abundance to their foes. The stories says that the temple was fabricated for the time being by a gathering of unknown craftsmans and stone carvers. Since the temple was developed in an evening, and as the craftsmans couldn't complete the entire work in one evening, the temple structure is deficient. In contrast to different temples, the temple doesn't have a gopura.
We visited this temple twice near to the temple is Unkal Lake and Park where you can witness beautiful sunset in the evening.
The way to temple is amidst houses of local residents and very hard to find directions to this temple.
We visited the temple during evening time, the temple has peaceful and soothing look during this time, and can be considered to be one of the best place for relaxation!!
