I started exploring a small part of my very own Beautiful Bengal, from this station only and planned a trip to Purulia on 7th September, 2018.
The train was at 23:05. But it was late and it departed at around 00:35.
I was supposed to get down in Purulia junction (even my reservation was till Purulia Junction only), but the resort manager asked me to get down at Barabhum Station, in the next morning.
The train arrived there at around 08:30.
After I got down I located my chauffeur and headed towards the resort.
While going, I became amazed by the beauty of the nature, as well as the weather of that place.
I took some lovely photos.
At around 09:00, I reached. The resort was superb with not just it's view, but also the people who takes care of the resort.
I stayed at Malgudi Resort (Matha Forest)..
I was welcomed with a cup of coffee... While taking the sip, I was trying to enjoy the silence, the fresh air.
After half an hour I had my lunch there only...
Puri, Chana Masala and Jalebi were served on my plate...
I will not tell you how the food was, actually you've to guess it seeing the photos.
Finishing breakfast, I headed towards some renowned places like LOWER DAM, UPPER DAM, BAMNI FALLS.
Lower Dam and Upper Dam : both gave me lovely view from atop.
While going towards Bamni Falls, for the first time I saw KAASHPHOOL .
But Bamni Falls gave me a bit of pain. If you walk down through stones for 80 feet, you can actually see the falls. But I gave up after 63 feet and saw just a small glimpse of the falls.
It was too hot, so I came back to the resort and took a bath.
I got a call that the lunch was ready. And after seeing my lunch plate, I became numb. There were so many food. While I was enjoying this meal, I was asked what I would take in the evening. They gave two options : onion pakoda or noodles.
Guess what?
I ordered for both.
I went to my room, and again left to see some more places. This time I was driving, though the chauffeur was sitting beside me (as I didn't know the route).
Went to some Pakhi Pahar, and there was another lake.
(You guys check photos please.)
While going there, I found the villagers were still very afraid of the unknown facts.
Some just waved their hands, while some ran away to the house.
But somehow I managed to make friendship with one of them. Her name was Subhashee.
It was around 17:00 then. So, I decided to come back to the resort. But while coming it was raining cats and dogs.
After reaching at the resort I was served with those two dishes that were too good.
I had some video call and by the time it was 23:00, went to the dinning area to have the dinner.
The other travellers were having Roti & Chicken. As I can't eat Rotis, I had Bhaat and Chicken. The best part on the plate was Parwal Ka Chutney.
This was the first time, I heard something like this.
Anyway, I went to sleep as on the next morning I had to check out from the resort and after visiting Pardi Dam I was supposed to reach in Purulia Station.
PS : the whole meal was just for Rs. 500/-
After waking up in the next morning, I just got ready and had some breakfast (Paratha, Chutney & Omlette) with a cup of coffee.
The resort offers a whole day meal in just Rs. 500/-, while they charge Rs. 70/- only for the breakfast (including tea/coffee)
After checking out from the resort I headed towards Pardi Dam with my chauffeur.
In the mid way, there was a village named Chorida. I took a halt over there, as that is the place where the masks of Chhou Dance are manufactured.
Took some lovely photos and headed towards the mentioned dam.
Enjoyed the view along with the pollution free air.
And after visiting that place headed towards the Purulia Junction, as my train was from there only.
There was some Akash Hotel. I had my lunch from there.
I did a mistake. I ordered Biryani, and saw myself at the highest point of disappointment.
Anyway, after lunch sessions, I boarded to the train from Purulia Junction and headed to my destination Howrah Junction, once again.
