Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in India located near Hospet town in the Karnataka state, India. Easily accessible by Bus(Hampi) & Train(Hosepete) from Bangalore. Among the attractions of Hampi are beautiful temples, ruins of palaces, remains of aquatic structures, ancient market streets, royal pavilions, bastions, royal platforms, treasury buildings... the list is practically endless. Hampi is a backpacker's paradise, the same way a pilgrim's delight. Hampi is an amazingly DIY (Do-It-Yourself) friendly site. We explored Hampi in 2days with local Auto driver Malla (9448146220). Like him, most of the driver have enough knowledge to let you know the history of Hampi.
