After leaving from nashik in the 12 of noon I reached pune by the evening through the local bus.
Had some dinner near my travel agent office at chandani chowk Pune. We left at 8 pm from Pune and reached by 6 am in the morning to Hospet. From Hospet there are local transport to Hampi which approximately take 1 hr to reach.
I stayed at guest house closely to the virupaksha temple. On the first day I just roam around and had lot of interaction with local people, which eventually schedule my second and third day of the trip.
Day one is local sightseeing and rest. I found the mango tree restaurant which eventually become my food spot for next 2 3 days because the food and ambience was too good. Coincidentally While interacting with local I came to that these will be most celebrated day in the hampi because it was the hampi festival. All the heritage place were decorated and maintain properly. There were the events and some light show arrange on the old market lane in the evening.
As it was festival days there were to much people visiting the place. People from adjustment village also gatther for the evening event and the stall shopping with kids. Considering this I delibaretly choose to travel by walking. There are bikes and bicycle also available on rent. That day I covered the most of the place and attended the light show in the evening.
Geographically hampi is divided in two parts by tungabhadra river. One side is old heritage structure while other one is modern cafe's and restaurants where you will get all kinds of hippie people around the world.
Early in the morning I cross the river through local ferry boat. Visited the yantrodharaka Hanuman temple and some of the cafe's for food. While just crossing the river I noticed a small cafe settled in the canopies of trees and after the visit that turn out to be one of the best cafe I visited in the recent times.
By the time of the evening I return to my guest house, as I was suppose to leave for the pune on the same night.
