Where to Stay at Narkanda-Echor

This blog goes for all those who are travelling from Delhi to Chitkul and finding a place to stay in mid -way. Let me make it easy for you by telling you about my stay at Echor, located in Matiana at distance of 16Kms from Narkanda. I travelled to Chitkul this past weekend only.

My planned route was Delhi-Matiana-Chitkul-Shimla-Delhi. I would advise everyone travelling to Chitkul to take a halt in mid way and spend a night and get re-energise for further travel.

I stayed at Echor (http://echor.in/) for a day (April 6th) and my stay here was pleasant and full of comfort. Not for a second did I feel that I was staying at an offbeat location. However, this property is surrounded with greenery and mountains. Please note, you will have to park your car/ bike on roadside if you are driving down to your destination like me, but be assured that it is absolutely safe. Here, everything from the stay to food to service was A1 and the property owner (Manoj, contact number: 9501221122) and the service staff made sure of it. I can vouch for the stay that it will be nothing less than homely and cosy.

If you check online, you may find higher room tariff whereas you can always speak to Manoj who manages everything at Echor or Rahul, the co-owner of the property (Contact number: 9988266942) and get some discount from them*.

I would rate them 4.5 on 5. Also, thanks to Manoj and Rahul. I will surely travel again to Chitkul and certainly, will take a halt at Echor.
