Shimla is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The average temperature during summer is between 19 °C -28 °C
This was my last trip before I appeared for my class 10th final examination.
A trip to the Himalayas!
It was my first time smelling the mountains, and probably since then, my love for the mountains began!
Here goes the mesmerising journey of the seven-day trip!
On day 1 we visited Naldhehra and Kufri, enjoyed the yummy roadside Pahari Maggie also went on a bit scary yet adventure ride, yes you guessed it right away! A horse ride through the narrow mountain routes. Then we reached our hotel, had himachali food and went off to sleep 🌙
We woke up early, grabbed our breakfast and left for Kasol valley and Manikaran.
Kasol Valley is best known for its thrilling treks, flavorsome food, roaring river and heartfelt humanity.
Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib is a pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Sikhs. It's is famous for its serene beauty! 💫
On day 3 we checked out of our hotel and left for Kullu and Manali.
After a tiring journey of 8 hours we reached Manali.
Dear Manali, "you're so gorgeous!"
We reached our hotel approximately at 11pm so we checked in and unpacked ourselves! We had plans of covering Rohtang Pass and the Manali Mall road
the very next day .
We woke up with a mesmerising view of the mountains and straight-headed towards the Rohtang pass which was nearly 50km from our hotel.
The beauty of Rohtang Pass kept us speechless!
On Day 5 we reached McLeod Ganj, visited a monastery and indulged ourselves to explore some local shops!
Our very own Khajjiar is also known as Mini Switzerland!
Here you can again get a chance to dress up like a local Himachali and photograph yourself
Adventure sports activities are also done here!
This was last day of our journey. My parents always wanted to visit the Golden Temple!
My suggestion to all pilgrims out here please don't visit the temple on Sundays it remains very crowded! After offering our prayers we headed to the India-Pakistan border known as the wagah border!
I am glad if you have read my writing and have went through my pictures!
This trip will be an unforgettable experience to me!
The horse rides, lunch at langar, exploring the local malls roads, interacting with the locals, having the yummy himachali Maggie after tiring journeys will always remain in my heart!
I hope the mountain calls me again :)
Happy travelling everyone!
